익선동냉삼집 미미네 Flash-frozen Korean pork with water dropwort, grilled at alley tables in Ikseon-dong

Data as of · Published ·

Behind exit 6 of Jongno 3-ga station, deep in the grilled-skirt-meat alley, a single-floor frozen-pork house under a sign with a flying pig. Fresh Korean pork is flash-frozen on site, shaved thin and cooked on the plate with water dropwort. SBS featured it in a June 2026 segment on Ikseon-dong.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

These hours are counted from the posts we read. Shops change them without notice — check Naver Place before you go. Place — check hours

What sets it apart

  1. Half the writing about this place is about the outdoor tables. There are only two or three of them, set out into the alley, and whether you get one shapes the evening. One writer gave up on them in the summer heat and sat inside; another arrived near closing and found them already stacked away. Two others note the front is left wide open, so inside is nearly outside anyway.
  2. Two people order one set and that is the meal. The two-person set runs to 560 grams, and more than one writer says it eats like three portions; half of them still added fried rice or risotto afterwards. A party of four ordered only the three-person set and had food left over.
  3. Price is the second thing everyone writes about. For a place that advertises its pork brands, the two-person set lands in the forties of thousands, and one writer says they have not found skin-on belly at that price anywhere else. The brand talk, though, is worded almost identically across eight posts, so it is worth reading the surprise at the price separately from the description of the meat.
  4. It is a small room. Three writers counted the indoor tables and came up with six, seven and nine; outside adds two or three more. Three of them walked in at opening as the first customers, and one watched the place fill in half an hour. One post says they take parties of up to eighteen.
  5. They take bookings. Two posts say the online allocation through Naver is only three tables, and that your slot passes to the queue ten minutes after the time you booked. Larger parties and buyouts go through the phone.
  6. Order a set and you may bring two bottles of your own. Two posts report no corkage, which is not common in a place like this.

The most ordered dish is minari naengsam 2-in set (미나리냉삼 2인세트 (급냉 오겹살 + 대패목살 + 차돌박이 3종 + 미나리 + 사발면 · 560g)) — 15 of 16 posts.

Parking

3 posts say you cannot park. None say you can.

Posts saying you cannot3 of 16 posts

Not one writer arrived by car. Several say there is no parking, but every one of them is repeating the same notice, and none says where they actually left a vehicle. One post quotes 6,000 won an hour at a nearby arcade garage — and that post was written without visiting. The alley is too narrow for a car in any case.

Getting there

Getting inside

Toilet insideyes 0 · no 1 (of 16 posts read)
Separate restrooms1 of 16 posts

Nobody writes about floors because there is only one. A single ground-floor room plus the tables in the alley is the whole place, and no post mentions a staircase or an upstairs. Here the question is not which floor but whether you are in or out.

Nobody looked at the threshold. No post says whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or a pushchair can get in. Since they put tables out into the alley, how much room is left around them is also unrecorded.

One writer mentions the toilet, and says it is not inside the restaurant but in the building, with separate men's and women's rooms. Which way you go, and whether you need a key, nobody says.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 27 posts we gathered, 11 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

2026-06-305 posts in one day

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • The directions converge but the distance does not. Post after post sends you out exit 6 of Jongno 3-ga station, tells you to turn around, and points you down the lane between a bar called Oksang and a Mega Coffee — then calls the rest 122 metres, or one minute, or two, or three, or five. One post says exit 4; that post was written without visiting.
  • Even after the television segment, the accounts split. People who arrived at opening were the first in, and one walked straight in on a weekday evening. But anyone set on an outdoor table says the wait is guaranteed, and the alley itself gets crowded on weekend nights. With a room this small, the wait is less about the hour than about how few tables there are.
  • Eleven of the twenty-seven posts we collected were written without going. Six repeat the listing from the SBS segment of 30 June 2026; one openly says it cross-checked five hundred receipt reviews instead of visiting; one is a write-up of the broadcast whose exit number and menu contradict every other post. Two more are the same writers describing the same visit a second time, once in a monthly diary and once in a comparison piece. That is why the count here is sixteen, not twenty-seven.
  • Two posts declare a sponsorship; eight use the same sentences. "Only Highpork grade 1 and Boseong Nokdon," "cuts with too much fat never reach the table," "marshmallows and a lollipop to finish" recur almost word for word across eight of them. That reads like a sheet handed out by the restaurant, which means the claims about meat quality here may be one page rather than eight opinions.
