Goundon
고운돈 Goun means 'fine' or 'lovely' in Korean, and don is the Sino-Korean syllable for pig often used in pork-house names; none of the posts explain the name.

A pork-belly house in a converted hanok down an alley off Supyo-ro 28-gil in Ikseon-dong, with tables set out in the courtyard and indoor seating on two floors. The belly is seared over charcoal in the kitchen and finished on your table grill with minari, scallion salad and kimchi; sets bundle it with beef tartare, bossam and doenjang stew. Prices posted by visitors: 42,000 won for two portions of belly, 73,500 won for the two-person tartare set, 94,500 won for the 2–3 person feast set, 116,000 won for the four-person tartare set, 9,500 won for bokjjamyeon. We read 30 posts dated 8 August to 9 October 2026; 18 are first-hand meals. We set aside 3 that were about other places and did not count 9 list or overview posts as visits.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- The meat arrives already seared. Nine posts said so; the time left on the table grill was put at about ten minutes and about five minutes. Most liked not having to do the grilling.
- Three posts said staff put the vegetables and kimchi on the grill with the meat and cooked it for them, one noting it was kept from burning.
- Three posts mention refills: indoor tables use a self-serve bar while yard tables call staff, and one table refilled the scallion salad and kimchi twice.
- People come for the courtyard seating. Eleven posts wrote about it: red plastic tables in a yard enclosed on four sides by the hanok, with a raised section half a floor up that looked better. One group of four was seated inside because the yard tables are mostly for two.
3 more
- Ten posts booked through Naver. Several noted that neither a booking nor the walk-in queue lets you choose a yard table or any specific seat; to get one, posts suggest arriving 10–20 minutes before opening, or about 10 minutes early even with a booking.
- Waits depend on the day and on where you want to sit. Three posts waited: six groups ahead at 5 pm on a Sunday, one group at 6:20 on a weekday, two groups at 5 on a weekday — and that last post said the wait was only for the yard, with indoor tables free. One post walked straight in. Another found the waitlist closed before 7 pm.
- It is a walk from Jongno 3-ga station. Four posts gave directions, mostly from exit 4 (about 100 m, five minutes on foot); one said three minutes from exit 6. The door is small and tucked into a corner of the alley, and one post noted many people get lost.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
It is a walk from Jongno 3-ga station. Four posts gave directions, mostly from exit 4 (about 100 m, five minutes on foot); one said three minutes from exit 6. The door is small and tucked into a corner of the alley, and one post noted many people get lost.
Getting inside
| Second floor | 6 of 17 posts |
|---|---|
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 3 (of 17 posts read) |
| Separate restrooms | 1 of 17 posts |
Six posts mention indoor seating upstairs. On a busy weekday evening one found the second floor nearly empty and comfortable.
Seating is on the ground floor (yard and indoors) and the second floor. Three posts describe ground-floor seats; none mention a basement.
No visitor said whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or stroller gets in — we don't know, which is not the same as no. All we have is that the door is small and in a corner, and that some seats are up half a flight of steps.
No one said whether the toilet is inside the restaurant. One post said it is separated by gender.
No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 26 posts we gathered, 9 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- One post said there is nowhere set aside to wait, in an alley that is already narrow.
- Tables are close together. Two posts described the yard as cramped and packed elbow to elbow; one found the interior roomier than expected but the tables tight, and added that the stools have no backrests.
- Two posts mention a time limit: two hours at weekends, and one table left drinks unfinished because of it.
- No one went with children. One post noted there are no high chairs or children's utensils.
- Opinions on the food split. One post found the belly merely fine, the noodles dried out, and said they would not return; the others liked the meat, and even that post praised the setting.
- What a meal costs varies with what people ordered. One group of three paid a little over 70,000 won and felt that, judged on the food alone, it wasn't worth it; another found it poor value without saying outright it was expensive. The rest did not weigh in on price.
- Opening hours: ten visitor posts give 4–11 pm on weekdays and 1–11 pm at weekends, six give last orders at 10 pm — mostly copied from the listing. One summer visit listed 3–10 pm weekdays and noon–10 pm weekends; one post says 4–11 pm daily and another mentions a 3–5 pm break. The posts don't tell us when or whether the hours changed.
- The phone number, 0507-1481-4554, appears in five visitor posts. No one booked by phone; every booking mentioned was through Naver.
- The menu has changed. One post from someone who first went about two years ago says it then served frozen pork belly and steamed egg, with acorn-jelly soup as the review gift; now it is charcoal-seared belly, tartare and minari bossam, and the gift is injeolmi ice cream.
- Some posts were not counted: a generic piece illustrated with news-agency photos, a 'visit guide' carrying Coupang affiliate ads, and restaurant lists that copy addresses and menus. Two influencer posts don't say whether they were sponsored.
