Compiled from 7 blog posts read in fullSources →

An oven-baked sandwich shop on the ground floor of the Urbanstay hotel in Ikseon-dong. Sandwiches run 12,500–13,500 won, the soft-tofu tomato soup 6,500 won, and there is coffee and wine by the glass (sparkling, 8,000 won). One post says it opened on 1 September 2026. We read 11 posts dated 21 September to 6 October 2026; 7 describe an actual meal, and 3 of those 7 disclose sponsorship. Everything we have is from its first five weeks.

Rows without a count: 3 of 6 posts.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. The kitchen is open. Six of the seven visit posts watched the chefs bake bread in the oven from their seats; one says the long counter let them chat with the cooks, another that bread goes in the oven as each order comes in.
  2. Four posts say the sandwiches are bigger than they look. One was full after half a sandwich; another saw every table boxing up the other half to take away and suggests two dishes is plenty for two people.
  3. Wine with a sandwich is the norm here: three posts ordered sparkling wine by the glass, and a fourth noticed other tables drinking wine.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 3 (of 7 posts read)

It is at street level, not below: three posts place it on the hotel's ground floor, and one warns the frontage is easy to walk past.

No one describes the entrance step or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. The 'wheelchair accessible' line in one post is copied from the listing.

No post mentions the toilet — where it is or whether it is separated by gender. That means unknown, not absent.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 11 posts we gathered, 4 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

2026-10-052 posts in one day
2026-09-212 posts in one day

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Opinions on price split three to one: three posts call it reasonable for the size, one (sponsored) says three sandwiches cost more than ordinary sandwich shops. Two of the three 'reasonable' votes come from sponsored posts.
  • We can't yet say much about waits. Two posts found it quiet, but both came within about a month of opening, and one says itself that it was relaxed because the place was new.
  • Only one post describes the walk in its own words (a short walk from Anguk station). The '319 m from Jongno 3-ga exit 3' line is copied from the listing, and one post gives exit 6 instead.
  • We can't say who it suits: one post went with a friend, one with a group of three, and the rest merely recommend it as a date spot.
  • Six posts give the same hours — Mon–Sat 11:00–19:00, last order 18:30, closed Sundays — but all copied from the listing, and a new place may still adjust them.
  • Five posts give the phone number 0507-1354-0684. No one says whether it takes reservations; one post notes ordering is by kiosk.
  • Much of what's written is promotion: the four non-visit posts are two pairs of word-for-word duplicates, and the three sponsored posts share a hashtag set. 'Michelin chef' and '48-hour cold-fermented bread' are the shop's own claims, repeated, and we did not count them.
