52 Market Place

52 마켓 플레이스 52 Maket Peullaeiseu The 52 is the hotel's street number on Toegye-ro, and 'market place' nods to Namdaemun Market across the road, which the house says inspires its menu.

An all-day buffet on the second floor of the voco Seoul Myeongdong hotel, right by Exit 3 of Hoehyeon Station. From 9 September to 24 November 2026 it runs a Singapore theme: lunch at 49,000 won on weekdays and 60,000 on weekends, and a 79,000-won Singapore BBQ Night at dinner, with many posts paying 20% less through Naver booking. Dinner has changed over time — a street-food 'pocha' buffet in autumn 2025, a holiday dinner with carved beef Wellington in December. We read 30 posts from October 2025 to October 2026: 14 visits, 11 information round-ups, and 5 set aside as spam or about other places.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Getting there is easy: eight visit posts say it is close to Hoehyeon Station — a minute from Exit 3, visible as soon as you come up. Three describe taking the escalator on the left of the hotel entrance up to the second floor.
  2. There is a made-to-order station: five posts describe handing over your chosen ingredients and having a bowl made on the spot — laksa in three September 2026 posts, pho in November 2025, tonkotsu ramen in December 2025.
  3. Eight visit posts called it good value for the money, and seven say they paid a discounted price — 20% via Naver booking, a 50% Year-of-the-Horse deal in January 2026, Monday lunch 2-for-3 — with one couple paying 117,550 won for two dinners listed at 79,000 each.
  4. Four posts mention window seats — a round table for two by the glass, a view down onto Namdaemun Market, good daylight.

Parking

Posts saying you can park1 of 14 posts

Many posts copy '2 hours free parking', but only one (January 2026) actually parked, and found the free window enough. Most give the overage as 1,500 won per 10 minutes; one says per 30 minutes.

Getting inside

Second floor3 of 14 posts

We don't know about wheelchair or stroller access. Posts mention the escalator to the second floor, but none mention a lift or steps — that means nobody wrote about it, not that there isn't one.

No visit post says anything about the toilets; one round-up copies 'separate men's and women's toilets' from the listing.

No one mentioned: In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 25 posts we gathered, 11 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

2026-09-306 posts in one day

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Opinions on size split four to two: four call it roomy with well-spaced tables, two say it is not a large room.
  • Two posts from June–July 2026 say the guests were mostly foreigners; one from November 2025 says they were mostly Korean.
  • Prices have moved. Posts from Jan–Mar 2026 give lunch at 39,000 won weekdays and 58,000 weekends; posts from Jun–Sep 2026 give 49,000 and 60,000. Dinner was 68,000 won in one Aug–Sep 2026 post and 79,000 from the September Singapore promotion. Nobody has yet written what it costs after the promotion ends on 24 November.
  • Seven visit posts give opening hours, all copied from notices. Lunch is consistently 11:30–14:00 on weekdays and 12:00–14:30 on weekends; two posts say dinner ends at 21:00, three say 22:00 with last order at 21:00, and one lists weekday lunch running to 16:30.
  • We know little about waiting: one post booked a 6 pm weekday dinner and walked straight in, and five booked ahead. Nobody wrote about turning up without a booking.
  • Company is spread out: three went as a couple, two with family, two with friends, one as a work group. Only one post brought a child.
  • Only one round-up gives a phone number (0507-1424-6833); the visitors who mention booking all did it through Naver.
  • Four visit posts in one week at the end of September 2026 list the same Singapore-promotion prices, discounts and dishes in the same order, and six information round-ups appeared around 30 September in matching formats. None disclose sponsorship, but the cluster coincides with the promotion push.
