Geumseong Hoegwan's original branch is a charcoal-grill meat house on Yanghwa-ro 6-gil, between Hapjeong and Sangsu stations. It serves pork (rib-side belly at 19,000 won for 200 g, neck at 17,000 won for 180 g, or both as a 600 g set for 55,000 won) and Korean beef (brisket flank at 29,000 won for 130 g, beef rib at 19,000 won for 150 g), and staff grill the meat at your table. Any meat order comes with a free soft-tofu stew, and there is a lunch menu with short-rib soup at 16,000 won and a rib set at 14,000 won. What we do not know
- No post says they actually queued. One went around 4 p.m. on a May holiday and walked straight in; three just say it is a place with waits. There is a CatchTable waitlist kiosk at the door, and two posts mention waiting chairs. The free steamed egg after ten minutes and noodles after an hour are the house's posted promise. Four posts booked ahead.
- Three posts call the room spacious; one, from June 30, differs, calling it not large but with enough tables. Five posts call it clean.
- Gaminess is split: a November 2025 visit found the skin-on belly in the big set smelled gamey (the neck and skin were fine), while two other posts say there was no off smell.
- On price, three posts call it reasonable and one says the Korean-beef items keep it from feeling cheap. The only receipt, from September 15, came to 60,000 won for rib-side belly, beef rib, tartare noodles, two rice bowls and four sodas.
- Opening hours appear in 17 visit posts, all as 11:00-23:00 daily with no closing day, but nearly all copy the Naver listing. Nobody gives a break time, last order, or when the lunch specials end, so we do not know.
- Most posts list the phone as 0507-1331-0974; two list posts give 02-336-8984. Posts that booked used Naver reservations. Whether corkage is free for one bottle with a Naver booking or charged is contested, and both versions are copied information.
- Two posts from October 14 and 16 follow the same template: the same three dishes in the same order, the same stock phrases, and no prices. Both describe grilling it yourself, unlike every other post. From these two we counted only who they came with and the repeat visit.
