청와옥 합정역직영점 Cheongwa means blue roof tiles and ok a house; bloggers spotted the branch from afar by its blue-tiled, hanok-style entrance.

Cheongwaok's Hapjeong branch is a sundae-soup (Korean blood-sausage soup) house on Yanghwa-ro, about 40 m from exit 5 of Hapjeong Station. It is one of the chain's company-run branches, and one post says it opened in July 2026. The core is plain sundae soup at 11,000 won and the spicy version or soft-tofu soup at 12,000 won; many tables added the cypress-steamed pork and sundae platter (28,000 won), beef tartare or grilled squid to share. You order and pay upfront on a tablet at the table, and refill side dishes yourself at a self-serve bar. We read 30 posts dated 26 August to 8 October 2026. Two were about other branches (Yangjae, Euljiro 3-ga) and were set aside, and one was just a line in a neighbourhood list, leaving 27 posts from people who ate here.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.
What sets it apart
- Expect a wait at lunch. Five posts said they queued and three walked straight in. One arrived around 1 pm on a weekday and was seated in under 10 minutes; a group of four arriving at 11:40 found four parties ahead and got in after 5–10 minutes. The walk-ins came in the opening weeks, at 2–3 pm on a weekend, or just after the lunch rush. Another found no line going in but one had formed by the time they left. You register at a machine by the door and get a KakaoTalk message when it's your turn; posts warn your place can be cancelled if you're not there when called.
- People waiting outside get chilled black-soybean tea, and after the meal there's a self-serve corner with coffee, juice and slush. Nine posts mentioned drinking one or the other for free. One liked the soybean tea enough to order some online that day. Another noted that when it's packed, the dessert-drink corner gets crowded and lingering over a coffee at your table feels awkward.
- Thirteen posts said you top up side dishes yourself at the self-serve bar: chives, cubed radish kimchi, shredded radish, onion, garlic, green chilies, salted shrimp and ssamjang. One appreciated not having to ask staff for chilies and scallions; another said the bar is narrow and you queue for it at lunch.
- Nine posts said you order and pay upfront on a tablet at each table. One found it annoying that the tablet has no staff-call button; another liked being able to walk out without settling up.
3 more
- The spicy sundae soup comes in heat levels 1 to 3. Seven posts called it hot. One put level 1 above Shin Ramyun, while another said level 2 was not very hot and they could have gone to 3. Two posts didn't come down either way.
- Seven posts said there was no porky off-smell, one noting it was absent even on walking in.
- Eight posts said portions were generous and one disagreed: even ordering the large, that diner felt there wasn't much meat and it was thinly sliced. Three posts described the meat as thick-cut.

Parking

The building has no car park. The two posts that drove both used the nearby Yonsei paid lot; one said the restaurant's ticket covers only one hour and still costs 1,000 won. Another just said dedicated parking looked unlikely. Other posts' parking notes are copied from the shop's sign or a phone call.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 3 (of 26 posts read) |
|---|
Three posts said the shop is at street level on the main road, but all three come from the same templated group.
No one wrote about a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or pushchair. That means we don't know, not that there's a problem.
No one described the toilet from experience. One post's info box lists it as inside the restaurant, but that line reads as copied and we didn't count it; another said the toilet is separate for customers, without making clear whether it's split by gender.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 27 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Posts copy different opening hours. Eight say it opens at 8 am, three at 9 am and one at 11 am; all say it closes at 10 pm. Last order is given as 9:10 pm in five posts and 9:20 pm in one. Nearly all of this is copied from info boxes or maps, so check before you go. One post did eat breakfast here.
- Prices are from menus in August–September 2026 posts: sundae soup 11,000 won, the spicy version and soft-tofu soup 12,000 won, the pork and sundae platter 28,000 won, and 2,000 won extra to swap in pot rice. One post said it might feel pricey but the bowls are big; another called prices starting in the low 10,000s reasonable. No one gave a receipt total for a meal.
- Several posts copy the phone number 0507-1357-3102; one gives 02-336-9888 from what it called planning material. No one booked by phone. You join the queue at a machine by the door; posts disagree on whether you can join remotely by app, one saying Tabling works and another that it didn't show up in the app.
- There are two groups of templated posts. Four follow the same script: about 43 m from exit 5, street level, the self-serve corner, the same spread of pork platter, tartare, squid and pot rice, makgeolli and pumpkin sikhye, and a five-point wrap-up. Only one of them says it was paid to write. Four more open with the same order list, three-line summary and index header, and none discloses sponsorship. We counted what they say they experienced, but bear in mind the same wording repeats.
