Truffle di Alba

트러플 디 알바 Teureopeul di Alba Italian for 'truffle of Alba' — Alba is the Piedmont town famed for white truffles, and the restaurant is run by the cosmetics brand d'Alba, whose signature ingredient is white truffle.

Compiled from 29 blog posts read in fullSources →

Truffle di Alba is an Italian restaurant run by the cosmetics brand d'Alba, now on the ground floor of a building at 71 Dokseodang-ro, between Hannam Five-way Junction and Hannam The Hill. Fresh pasta is the core: the most-ordered dish, funghi cream tajarin, is ₩28,000; langoustine spaghetti ₩29,000; porchetta ₩52,000; the two-person set ₩99,000. Most posts are couples or friends sharing two pastas and a side, for around ₩60,000, and most went for a birthday, anniversary or date. It used to sit in a side street behind Soonchunhyang Hospital and moved here, into a bigger space, sometime before August 2026. We read 30 posts from 9 August to 18 October 2026; one was about a different restaurant and was set aside, and all 29 others describe actual visits.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. The new room is big: fourteen posts say so, describing an outer and an inner hall and tables set far enough apart that you can't hear the next table. Five call it quiet. One post found it easy to talk on a busy Friday evening; another found weekday lunch crowded and bustling.
  2. Floor-to-ceiling windows define the seating: twelve posts mention them. One notes the window seats fill first with reservations; another, booked the same day, was put in the hall instead. Ten posts mention the open kitchen.
  3. Nine posts booked ahead, via Naver or CatchTable, and several say the table was laid out for them. The ₩99,000 truffle tajarin can only be ordered at booking. One post says a Naver booking added a ₩20,000 deposit; three include a CatchTable link advertising no deposit.
  4. No post reports a wait. Two say they walked straight in — one had a booking, the other went on a weekday afternoon. Two mention seats by the entrance for waiting. No one says what weekend evenings are like.
7 more
  1. Leave a review and dessert comes free: eleven posts say so. What they got varied — lemon gelato or sorbet, yoghurt gelato, tiramisu or a shakerato. One post notes the Naver-receipt and CatchTable offers differ.
  2. Six posts say prices were lower than they expected for the setting; none calls it expensive. Most of those six, though, belong to the cluster of look-alike promotional posts noted below.
  3. Fifteen posts praise the staff: water refilled unasked, a server asking whether to bring everything together because the vongole would take longer, a tablet with photos brought over when guests couldn't decide. One post says an ordered appetiser was forgotten.
  4. Five posts say it is reachable by public transport — 10 or 11 minutes' walk from Hannam Station, 17 from Hangangjin, and two note the Hannam-dong bus stop right outside. None actually says they came by subway or bus.
  5. Parking is by valet from a booth behind the building. Three posts came by car and one used the valet. Per the details many posts copy, it is ₩5,000 for two hours, then ₩1,000 per ten minutes, cash only. One post parked instead at the nearby Hannam reservoir public lot for ₩3,000 an hour.
  6. Seven posts went with friends, six with a partner or spouse, one with a mother. Many were marking an occasion — a birthday, an anniversary, a friend leaving a job. One says you may bring a cake and blow out candles but not eat it inside.
  7. Three posts found portions large: staff warned a party of three that the four-person set would be too much, and two women couldn't finish the two-person set. The ciabatta, by contrast, is palm-sized — order one each.

Separate restrooms2 of 29 posts

It is on the ground floor; three posts say so from experience. One, arriving by car, says the valet entrance is really the second basement and they took the lift up. Two note you enter through the building's side lobby, not straight from the street.

No one reports from experience whether a wheelchair or pushchair can get in, or whether there is a step. One post pastes a listing saying the entrance, seats and toilets are wheelchair-accessible, but that is the restaurant's own claim and we did not count it. This means no one wrote about it — not that there is a barrier.

One post says the toilets are outside the restaurant, down the building corridor to the left. Almost every post mentions the d'Alba cosmetics set out to try there; two specify the women's room, so they appear to be separate. Nobody describes the men's.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know

  • All 29 posts describe the current location. Twelve mention the move in their own words, seven as hearsay. Only one says anything about the old place — that it was smaller and cosier; nobody describes its seating or prices. No post gives the moving date; the earliest, from 9 August 2026, is already at the new address.
  • Three posts copy the house rule — no children aged ten and under at dinner, children with supervision at lunch. No post went with a child.
  • All the opening hours are copied, not observed. Nineteen posts say closed Mondays, open noon to 10 pm; one says closed Tuesdays, and one from 9 August says open daily. Eight give the break as 15:00–17:25 on weekdays and 15:00–17:00 at weekends; one has it the other way round, one says 17:20. Two give last orders at 20:30. Check before you go.
  • Prices are from posts dated August–October 2026. Two people sharing two pastas and a side spend about ₩60,000; the two-person set is ₩99,000; the truffle tajarin alone is ₩99,000. Three posts copy a corkage fee of ₩50,000 a bottle.
  • Nine posts give the same phone number, 070-8840-0056. Bookings go through Naver or CatchTable; one post copies a note to phone for group or private hire.
  • Most posts cluster between mid-September and mid-October 2026, repeat the same three keyword phrases, and walk through the same points in the same order — the expanded new space, the d'Alba products in the toilet, the free review dessert. None discloses sponsorship. One says it was invited (a truffle dinner event on 13 September); one says it paid its own way, yet gives the location as a tower between Samseong and Seolleung stations, a leftover from someone else's template. So we counted only what people say they experienced, not their praise.
