Sikkkeop Yongsan-jeom
식껍 용산점 Sikkkeop sounds like sikgeop, Korean for 'getting a fright' — one post plays on it ('식껍에서 식겁하게'); the posts do not explain the name further.

A charcoal-grill barbecue house on the ground floor of a building on Hangang-daero 40-gil, a few minutes' walk from Sinyongsan Station exit 1. Pork cuts such as kkodeulsal, chimasal, deungsimdeotsal and belly are 17,000 won per 180 g portion, and you grill them yourself over charcoal set into the table. A stew comes free with the meat and extra side dishes are self-serve. At lunch there are set meals such as iron-plate octopus and kimchi stew for 10,000-12,000 won. We read 30 posts from 25 February to 12 October 2026; two were about other shops, and 27 record an actual meal.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- You can order one portion of each cut. One post says most barbecue places won't do single portions but this one did, so they tried kkodeulsal and chimasal side by side; another ordered one of each as well. Kkodeulsal, first on the menu, was ordered in 10 posts, more than any other cut.
- Side dishes are self-serve: 15 posts topped up at the self-bar, one going back twice for the green-onion kimchi. Aprons are there too. Posts list shredded scallion, green-onion kimchi, pickled celtuce, radish wraps and pickled onion, plus anchovy sauce, wasabi, cumin and garlic sauce.
- 19 posts call the room spacious, often noting the gap between tables. One counted two partitioned areas with three tables each, enough for a group of about 12. Two posts mention seats with storage for coats and bags.
- Close to the subway: 15 posts walked in, putting it 2 to 5 minutes from Sinyongsan exit 1 and 10-15 minutes from Yongsan Station. One mentions the Yongsan Post Office bus stop, 3 minutes away.

- Seven posts booked through Naver and were shown to a table already laid with side dishes; bookings were for 6:30 and 7 pm on weekdays. Several mention a free pork-skin coupon for Naver bookings; one actually used it, telling the owner rather than ordering on the kiosk.
- Five posts mention lots of celebrity autographs on the walls. Several describe a grilling guide on the wall: edges while the charcoal is red, the centre once it turns white.

Parking
6 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.
| Posts saying you can park | 6 of 27 posts |

16 posts discuss parking; six used the restaurant's own lot and found it easy. One counted two spaces; copied info says two to three. Several copy a 5,000-won valet fee for when the lot is full, one heard 3,000 won. One driver used the public street parking two minutes away instead.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
Close to the subway: 15 posts walked in, putting it 2 to 5 minutes from Sinyongsan exit 1 and 10-15 minutes from Yongsan Station. One mentions the Yongsan Post Office bus stop, 3 minutes away.
Getting inside
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 3 (of 27 posts read) |
|---|---|
| Step at the entrance | yes 0 · no 1 (of 27 posts read) |
| Toilet inside | 3 of 27 posts |
| Separate restrooms | 1 of 27 posts |
No post describes going in with a wheelchair or stroller. One says the entrance has no step, but it follows a copied amenity list claiming wheelchair access, so we can't tell whether it was observed. Nobody mentions ramps or lifts.
Three posts say the restroom is inside the restaurant, one that it is split by gender. Three posts say the restaurant is on the ground floor.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 28 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- No post reports waiting. One says they ate with no wait; another says queues form at weekends and after work, but they had booked. Posts note full rooms on Sunday lunch and weekday evenings without mentioning a line — that means nobody timed a wait, not that there is none.
- Posts disagree on private rooms: two describe a group room for about 12, one says it is not a room but a partitioned area, and one calls it seating separated 'like a room'.
- Split one to one on whether the lunch octopus is spicy: one post found it hot, the other milder than expected.
- No post gives a receipt total for the meal; we only know that two people had three portions of belly plus noodles and a soda, and that two women were full after the 46,000-won platter with rice. Three posts say the price is fair and none call it expensive. Several mention a review event that gives a free egg custard or shaved ice.
- Twenty posts give the same opening hours — daily 11:00 to 00:50, break 14:30-16:30, last order 00:35 — but almost all copied them from the Naver listing. One gives closing as 00:05, apparently a typo. One notes a closure over Chuseok, 24-25 September 2026.
- The phone number 02-794-7266 is copied in many posts, but nobody reports booking by phone; every booking was made through Naver.
- Most posts follow a similar template, with the same string of Yongsan barbecue keywords in titles and tags; three share identical hashtags in the same order. One post discloses sponsorship, two say they paid themselves, and the other 25 say nothing. Each still records its own order and prices, so we counted them as meals. Copied info blocks (pets allowed, corkage, high chairs, waiting area) were not used as evidence.
