Hyeonseonine
현선이네 Hyeonseon-ine means "Hyeonseon's place" — the given name Hyeonseon plus -ine, the Korean suffix for someone's household.

Hyeonseonine's Yongsan flagship is a tteokbokki-and-sundae snack house in an alley off Sinyongsan Station exit 6 (Hangang-daero 39-gil 2-13), easy to spot by its yellow chimney and red roof. It serves ready-made tteokbokki alongside a cook-it-yourself version on table induction plates; twenty posts say you order at a kiosk. The most-ordered meals are the Combo Set at 26,000 won (tteokbokki, sundae, fritters, mini gimbap, fish-cake skewers; twelve posts) and the cook-yourself tteokbokki at 11,000 won a head, two-person minimum, finished with fried rice (twelve posts). Six posts note draught beer and soju. Three say it used to be a street stall in front of Yongsan Station. We read 30 posts dated 10 August to 14 October 2026; 28 describe an actual visit.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Expect to wait at mealtimes. Seven posts waited: 10 minutes (weekend, 1:30 p.m., two groups ahead), 10–15 minutes (holiday, 5:30 p.m.), 20 minutes (weekday noon, quoted 40) and about 50 minutes (6:24 p.m., five groups ahead for the cook-yourself tables, quoted 60). You register on a CatchTable machine outside, and the cook-yourself tables keep a separate queue because they need an induction seat. Three walked straight in — Sunday 3 p.m., 6 p.m., and a holiday lunchtime — and one more got the last two-seater despite six or seven people standing outside.
- Three posts mention somewhere to sit while waiting: a long bench under the roof outside, and an indoor waiting spot that one writer says has only three seats. Several also mention a claw machine outside.
- Twenty posts say you order and pay at a kiosk, either at the door or after being shown to a table. The self-serve bar has pickled radish, plates, aprons and salt for the sundae, plus loose fritter crumbs that many writers soaked in the sauce; one says the Euljiro and Yeouido branches don't have them.
- You pick mild, medium or hot. Three posts found it spicy and four did not, and they split even on medium: one put it a notch above Shin Ramyun, another at about Shin Ramyun level, another called it mild enough for anyone. Nobody ate the hot level this time; one writer says staff warned them off it. Six posts note sweetness.
2 more
- Four posts mention high chairs and two went with children. One says a kindergartener managed the mild level; the one with a baby chose the ready-made Combo Set over the hot table-top pan.
- Three writers knew the old shop — in front of Yongsan Station, a street stall opposite I'Park Mall. None says when it moved to the current building, and every post we read is from after the move. The "started as a stall in 2004" line is repeated hearsay.

Parking
1 posts say you can park; 1 say you cannot. We leave the disagreement standing rather than picking a side.

Parking is contested. One group found nowhere to park and left a member in the car; another parked in a free spot in front with staff help; two others mention two or three spaces in the side alley or a paid lot right opposite (1,000 won per 20 minutes). The "no parking" line in many posts is copied listing text.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside

Nobody wrote about floors. One post calls it a standalone building and the address says ground floor; we don't know whether there is a basement or upstairs seating.
Nobody said whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair gets in. One post saw families with strollers, but didn't describe the entrance. That means unknown, not absent.
Four posts say the toilet is inside, two of them that it is split by gender; one places it next to the water dispenser and one says it was clean. Nobody said whether there is an accessible toilet.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 29 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Twenty posts give the same hours — daily 11 a.m. to midnight, last order 10:40 p.m. — mostly copied. The 2:30–4 p.m. break is split: four posts say Mondays only, two give no day. Three say it never closes.
- No one called it expensive; five posts called the prices fair. For two, cook-yourself tteokbokki plus fried rice came to 25,500 won, or 26,000 won for the Combo Set. The fried-rice price differs: 3,500 won in two posts, 2,000 won in one.
- Booking is unclear: one post says the CatchTable machine only takes same-day walk-in queueing, another saw a button for booking another day. Nobody said whether phone reservations (0507-1361-8901) work.
- Ten posts landed on 13–14 October with near-identical "Yongsan tteokbokki" titles and hashtags. None discloses sponsorship; three say they paid. Five mention a review event that rewards a slush or a bigger tteokbokki.
