Hyewon Sogopchang is a Korean-beef offal grill on Majo-ro 7-gil in Seongdong-gu, a few minutes' walk from exit 6 of Wangsimni Station. The signature platter (300g of mixed intestine and heart) was 25,000 won per portion in 2026 posts; it comes out of the kitchen already cooked in an iron pan, and staff finish it at the table with chives. Free kimchi ramyeon and seasoned tripe arrive as soon as you sit, and most meals end with tripe fried rice (5,000 won). It opens only in the evening, 5pm to midnight. We read 30 posts from August 2025 to October 2026; 29 describe an actual meal (the other is a list of ten local restaurants).

What sets it apart
- You do not grill anything yourself. Of 29 meal posts, 24 say the offal came out of the kitchen already cooked, and 19 say staff or the owner came by to cut the rice cake, add chives and keep things from burning. Two posts note the trade-off: it takes a while to arrive.
- Free food arrives first. Twenty-six posts describe a tin pot of kimchi-bean-sprout soup with half a ramyeon brick, and the seasoned tripe salad is free for the first plate (one post says refills cost 5,000 won). Posts repeatedly mention a personal set of sesame-oil salt, wasabi and cheese powder, and several were told to dip the rice cake in the cheese powder.

Of the 30 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Accounts of the room size differ: eight posts call it spacious, but one from April 2026 calls the interior modest and wishes the place would move somewhere bigger. Three posts say the front windows open up in good weather, like sitting outdoors.
- Twenty posts call it clean, mostly meaning it doesn't feel greasy or run-down for an offal house. One post from April 2026 disagrees, complaining that the menus were sticky and asking the owner to wipe them.
- Only one post actually saw a queue: on a Saturday in December 2025 they had booked a 5:30 table, and by 6:30 the room was full with people waiting. Others found it nearly full by 6pm on a weekday with two tables left at 6:30, or were the first customers at 5:30. Posts that only heard about waits are not counted. Seven posts say you can reserve.
- Prices have gone up: an August 2025 post lists the platter at 24,000 won per portion, and posts from April 2026 on say 25,000. One September 2026 post still copied a 24,000 menu. One couple paid 57,000 won for two portions, fried rice and a soda. Two posts call it good value.
- Twenty-five posts give the same hours, 5pm to midnight daily, and two say it never closes. One post mentions arriving right after a break time, which we could not reconcile; every other post says it opens at 5pm.
- More than 20 posts give the same phone number, 02-518-1543. The free drink for Naver reservations is copied from the booking page, so we did not treat it as evidence.
- Seventeen meal posts cluster in five weeks between September 16 and October 19, 2026, with nearly identical info blocks and the same sequence: ramyeon, tripe salad, cheese powder, fried rice, "great for dates and work dinners." Only two disclose sponsorship or a free meal. Their agreement may reflect a shared template more than separate experiences.
- Posts disagree on how old the place is: two call it new, while one notes "2010" on the sign and another says it has been around a long time. We could not settle it.
