Samhaejip
삼해집 Jip means house or eatery; none of the posts explain what Samhae refers to.

Samhaejip is a long-running bossam (boiled pork) house inside the Jongno 3-ga bossam alley; posts give the address as Suphyo-ro 20-gil 16-15. Order any bossam and a pot of pork-bone stew comes free. Visitors ordered plain, garlic, oyster and octopus bossam, and a trotters-and-bossam combo. Prices they recorded: plain bossam 38,000 won (medium) and 45,000 won (large); garlic bossam 30,000 / 40,000 / 47,000 won (small / medium / large); oyster bossam 32,000 won (small); the combo 50,000 won. Seven posts went with friends and three with family, mostly for an evening meal with drinks. We read 28 posts from December 2025 to October 2026; 16 of them record actually eating here.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Order bossam and the stew arrives on its own. Ten visitors say the pork-bone stew came free. One describes big bones with cabbage and perilla leaves, simmered at the table until the broth deepened; another found it clear and light, like a hangover soup. Two mention perilla seed in it. One visitor alone found it bland and not very good.
- The alley is narrow but the dining room is large. Of seven posts that describe the space, five call it big: one counted more than 20 tables, another notes it runs deep towards the back. Two mention a main hall and an annex side by side. One post, though, says the tables are packed tightly, and another that the tables are small enough that you end up spreading onto the next one.
- For an old place, ordering is by QR code at the table. Two posts say so; one liked not having to flag down staff across the big room.
- Four posts say the pork had no off smell. One found some slightly dry pieces in a large plain bossam.

- It's an easy subway trip. Two posts walked from Jongno 3-ga station, one putting it at three minutes on foot.

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

No post says which floor they sat on or whether there were stairs. The registered address mentions floors 1 and 2, but that is not a visitor's observation and, as noted below, doesn't match the address in the posts.
No post says whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or pushchair can get in, only that it sits in a very narrow alley. That means nobody wrote about it, not that access is impossible.
One post covers the toilet: inside the restaurant, separate men's and women's, but very cramped, rated two stars out of five. Another post's 'separate toilets' line is copied listing information, so we did not count it.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 25 posts we gathered, 10 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Only one post mentions waiting, saying evenings get a long queue. One visitor arriving around 2:30 pm walked straight into a seat; another found it busy on a weekday evening but did not say whether they waited. This is not evidence of no wait, just that others didn't write about it.
- Posts give the phone number as 02-2273-0266. Only one discusses reservations: small parties can't book, groups can by phone.
- Portions split opinion. Two posts found a small or medium plain bossam plenty for two; one found the 50,000-won combo smaller than expected for a group of friends.
- Check prices against the dish and season. Oyster bossam is seasonal: a June visitor was advised against it and switched to garlic bossam, while two September visitors had it. Two posts commented on value: one thought 40,000 won for a medium garlic bossam was still good value, the other found the 50,000-won combo light for the price.
- Eight visitor posts list opening hours, mostly copied from listings: seven say 10:30 am to 2 am daily, one says 10 am. Five say it closes for major holidays, yet one post records dinner here on 25 September 2026, during the Chuseok holiday.
- We could not reconcile the address. The registered address is Jongno 11-gil 10 in Insa-dong, but every visitor's address and check-in is Samhaejip Jongno branch at Suphyo-ro 20-gil 16-15. One post about the Yeongdeungpo branch of the same name was set aside. Claims of a '30-year' or '51-year' history are repeated from the shop or hearsay and not used as evidence.
