Hansin Pocha Jongno Gwancheol-jeom

한신포차 종로관철점 Pocha is short for pojangmacha, the Korean tent-bar style of drinking spot; Hansin is the chain's brand name, and Jongno Gwancheol names the branch's neighborhood, Gwancheol-dong in Jongno.

A branch of the Hansin Pocha chain in a basement on Jongno 14-gil, just off the Jonggak youth street, where people drink over chicken feet simmered in spicy broth. Boneless chicken feet cost 21,000 won, and a set with stone-pot steamed egg and a make-your-own rice ball was 32,500 won in August 2026. Bean-sprout soup comes with the chicken feet, and nearly every writer moved the sprouts into the pot to cook. A hotter version, Hot Red Hansin Dakbal (23,000 won), appeared in 2026. We read 18 posts from September 2025 to October 2026; 14 of them describe actually eating here.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.

What sets it apart

  1. Four posts say bean-sprout soup comes as a free side. Two mention getting more sprouts: one found a sprout button on the staff-call panel, another called one refill a must.
  2. Four posts ordered through a kiosk; one says it sits on the table.
  3. Five posts call the room large, one noting wide spacing between tables and another saying it was remodeled. Two mention group tables; one described them as room-like, though we cannot tell whether they are closed rooms.
  4. Five posts found the portions generous, three of them talking about the oversized steamed-egg pot. One February 2026 post thought portions had shrunk but was unsure.

Getting inside

In a basement4 of 14 posts
Toilet inside1 of 14 posts
Separate restrooms1 of 14 posts

Four posts note from experience that the bar is underground; one says you head down and find a fairly large room.

The bar is one floor down, but no post says whether you take stairs or an elevator, or whether there is a step at the door. That is not the same as saying there is none.

Only one post describes the restroom: inside the bar, clean and separated by gender. Another just called it so-so but fine for a bar.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 16 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Heat is disputed: three posts found it spicy (two about the Hot Red version, one about the rice cakes), while one person who avoids spice said the boneless chicken feet were mild enough.
  • Only one post speaks from experience about getting here, saying it was easy to reach between Jonggak and Jongno 3-ga stations. The '337 m from Jonggak exit 4' line is copied across several posts.
  • Two posts did not wait: one arrived at the 4:30 pm opening as the first customer, the other came at 6 pm on a Saturday. Nobody wrote about late Friday or Saturday nights.
  • Among posts that say who came along: four went with friends, two in larger groups (a work outing, a running crew), one on a date. None mention family or children.
  • Nine posts copy the hours, and closing time varies. All agree it opens at 4:30 pm. Four say 2 am Sunday to Thursday and 3 am Friday and Saturday, one gives 3 am for Saturday only, two say 2 am daily, two say 3 am daily. Last order is an hour before closing.
  • Prices follow the chain menu, but bone-in chicken feet appear at 20,000 won in a September 2025 chain promotion and 21,000 won on a June 2026 menu photo; the sources differ, so we do not call it a price rise. The only full-meal figure is the 32,500 won set in August 2026.
  • Seven posts give the phone number 02-738-5558. Reservations appear only as a copied 'reservations available' line in one post; no one wrote about booking.
  • Two posts from late August 2026 share the same Red Bull scratch-card promotion wording (prizes, dates, bonus coupon for reviews). Neither discloses sponsorship; both record a meal, so we counted them as visits. Two September 2025 posts about a chain-wide 1+1 chicken-feet promotion only list this branch by name and are not counted as visits.
