Hansabal Pocha Jonggak-jeom
한사발포차 종각점 Hansabal means 'one big bowl', and pocha is short for pojangmacha, the Korean tent-style street pub; Jonggak-jeom marks the Jonggak branch.

A two-storey indoor pocha in the alley behind Jonggak Station, on Jongno's Street of Youth. Spicy braised chicken (33,000 won) and chicken-and-intestine stew (37,900 won, medium) simmer on a burner at your table, alongside snacks like jjagyechi noodles, sweet egg toast and savory pancakes. You order by scanning a QR code on the table. Several posts describe stainless round tables and red stools in an old-school tent-bar style. We read 11 posts dated July 7 to October 19, 2026; one was about a different restaurant and was set aside. All of the remaining 10 describe actual visits, though six of them look like promotional posts written from the same template.

Rows without a count: 7 of 8 posts.
Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Nine posts said the portions were large. Many put one pot at three to four people's worth; one post ordered the medium chicken-and-intestine stew and found it filled three or four. That said, the phrase 'somewhere between medium and large' turns up word for word in three posts from the promotional batch.
- Eight posts called the food spicy. Two said you can choose the heat level for the stews; one picked the spicy version, found it too hot and ordered fried rice to cool down. Another found even the regular level peppery.
- Five posts said you order by scanning the QR code on the table. Several list the free side dishes as soft tofu, pickled radish wraps and cubed radish kimchi; one post got refills.

Getting inside
| Second floor | 6 of 11 posts |
|---|---|
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 6 (of 11 posts read) |
Six posts described the place as split over a ground floor and a second floor; none mentioned a basement. One post says you reach the second floor by stairs. One says the ground floor is smaller, mostly four-seat tables, while upstairs is bigger and louder, so pairs should stay downstairs; another mentions terrace seats on the ground floor.
No post says whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in. One post mentions taking the stairs to the second floor; nobody mentions an elevator. That means no one wrote about it, not that there isn't one.
No post says whether the restroom is inside the premises or split by gender. We don't know.
No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know
- Two posts said they did not wait: three people walked straight in on a weekday after work, and another arrived at the 5 p.m. Sunday opening and found it half full by 6:20. One post found it already full early on a weekday evening. No post records how long the wait is at peak dinner time; one says you usually have to queue in the evening, but that is not a firsthand account, so we did not count it.
- Six posts called the staff friendly, but five use the same 'friendly and full of energy' wording. Those five look like they came from one promotional template, and only one of them says it was a sponsored visit.
- Three posts went with friends and one with a group. Nobody went with family or children, so we can't say how it suits a family visit.
- Eight posts list opening hours, all copied from the listing. Seven agree on 5 p.m.-2 a.m. Sunday to Thursday and 5 p.m.-3 a.m. Friday and Saturday; four of them give last orders at 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. respectively. One post alone says '5 p.m.-2 a.m. daily'. The only firsthand time is one post walking in at the 5 p.m. Sunday opening. No post mentions a closing day.
- Five posts said prices felt reasonable, though four of them belong to the promotional batch. Only one post gives a full bill: a medium chicken-and-intestine stew made boneless with udon added, a roe rice ball, sweet egg toast and a bottle of soju came to 65,400 won, but it doesn't say how many people ate. A September post where three people shared crab-chicken stew, shrimp pancake, jjagyechi and toast gives no total.
- Eight posts list the same phone number, 0507-1318-9086. One post booked ahead and was given a reserved window seat. Another copies the booking rules (Naver or phone, 1 to 15 people, phone for groups over 20), but we did not count that since it was copied from the listing.
