Gatpo Uo Jonggak is an izakaya on the second floor of a building on Ujeongguk-ro 2-gil, close to Exit 4 of Jonggak Station, where every seat is in a private room. People come in groups to share aged-sashimi platters, hot pots, straw-fire seared dishes and fried plates; the signature seasonal sashimi platter is listed at 59,000 won for three. What sets it apart
- There is no open dining room — it is all private rooms, mentioned by 23 of the 28 visits. One post warns the rooms look identical, so watch the number over the door; another had partitions opened to join two rooms for ten people. One notes the second-floor hall holds only staff and the kitchen.
- Eight posts call it quiet; one disagrees, saying that even in a room you hear a bit from the neighbours.
- Three posts report a time limit on the rooms: two hours for a party of ten in November 2024, two hours on a Saturday in September 2026, and two to two and a half hours for a Thursday work dinner that same month, which made the group order sooner than planned.

Eight posts place it on the second floor. Two say you can go up by stairs or by lift, and one found the ground-floor entrance hard to spot. No post mentions a basement.
No post says whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in. Two mention a lift; beyond that we simply don't know.
Two posts put the toilets inside the premises; one counts separate men's and women's rooms, three stalls and two sinks.

Of the 30 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Waits are split: two posts waited or saw a queue (November 2024 and a five-minute wait in April 2026), while a Saturday visit in September 2026 found none. One calls it a place you queue for without saying they did. Eight posts booked ahead, via CatchTable, Naver or Tabling.
- Eleven posts give the same hours, 4:30 pm to 1:30 am daily, but nine copied them from listing data. One says there is no closing day, one that it opens on Sundays; no one mentions a break or last order.
- Prices are known only dish by dish; no one gives a per-person total. The sashimi platter appears at 59,000 won from February 2026 but as 55,000 inside a set in a January 2026 post, so we can't say whether it rose. Adding people adds charges on sashimi and noodles.
- Six posts list the same mobile number, 010-7634-1487. Most booked through CatchTable or Naver; a November 2024 post said you can't get in without a reservation.
- Three posts got a free dish for writing a receipt or Naver review (grilled chicken, mochiri dofu, a cutlet), which may explain how many posts mention freebies. Two promotional write-ups by one blogger that only repost listing text and review stats were not counted as visits.
