상상갈비 Sangsang is the Korean word for imagination and galbi means ribs; the house is known for its marinated pork ribs.

Sangsang Galbi is a charcoal barbecue house on a side lane of the international food street south of Sindorim Station. The signature is marinated pork ribs (16,000 won for 250 g), alongside beef rib-finger meat (19,000 won for 150 g) and pork belly (16,000 won for 200 g), all grilled by guests over charcoal at the table. Soybean stew is 2,000 won and after-meal cold noodles 5,000 won. We read 24 posts from November 2024 to October 2026; 23 describe a visit. Right after opening in November 2024 both the pork ribs and the beef were 18,000 won, and unmarinated pork ribs stood where the pork belly is now. Fourteen of the 24 posts fall in September and October 2026, many with the same hashtag set, so we read them as including commissioned posts.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Seven posts describe the meat as thick: one says the rib cuts were notably thick, another simply calls the thickness amazing. The pork belly also comes as a thick slab, and one post notes big rib bones with plenty of meat left on them.
- Guests do the grilling. Four posts say they grilled the meat themselves; one says staff put everything on the grill and left the rest to them. Two posts say staff laid out the first batch or cut the meat. Several warn that the marinated ribs burn quickly and need frequent turning.
- The windows by the tables open. Three posts mention it: one says opening them kept the room well ventilated, another that the breeze made it feel like eating outdoors.
- Sixteen posts call the place clean, pointing to polished extractor hoods and tables and to how little smoke and smell there was for a barbecue house.
1 more
- Nine posts walked from Sindorim Station, five to ten minutes from exit 2 or 3. One advises using a map the first time because the place sits off the main road in a lane.

Parking

Three posts describe parking firsthand: two used the underground car park of the Posvill building next door, one advising to navigate there rather than to the restaurant, and one saw room for about two cars out front. One post says no parking. The two free hours mostly appear in copied info lines.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| Second floor | 5 of 23 posts |
|---|---|
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 1 (of 23 posts read) |
There are two floors. Five posts mention the second floor; that it opens only on weekends or for groups is reported as hearsay. One post says they sat on the ground floor, and none mentions going downstairs.
No post says whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in. We do not know; this is not a no. We also do not know whether the second floor is reached by stairs or a lift.
No post says whether the toilet is inside the restaurant. One November 2024 post found it clean, being newly opened; separate men's and women's toilets appear only in copied info lines.
No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 24 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Posts split on size: four call it roomy, four say it is not large (one calls it small and cozy), one says neither. One estimates seating for about ten groups.
- Posts also split on the marinade: five call it sweet, four say it is not overly sweet, and two say both.
- Prices have changed. In November 2024 the pork ribs, beef, and plain pork ribs were all 18,000 won; in 2026 posts the pork ribs are 16,000 won for 250 g, beef 19,000 won for 150 g, and pork belly 16,000 won for 200 g. No post calls it expensive and eight call the prices fair. One post paid 51,000 won for two people with three portions of ribs, stew, and rice.
- A November 2024 post noted there was no review promotion; an October 2026 post says a review earns a free bottle of soju or beer.
- Opening hours vary slightly across posts. Weekdays 11:00-23:00 with a 14:30-16:30 break and Sundays closed are mostly consistent. Last order is 21:40 in four posts and 22:00 in three; Saturday mostly opens at 14:00, with one post giving a different closing time and another a 13:00 start. Around opening in 2024 it was Monday to Saturday 11:00-23:00. Much of this is copied, so check before going.
- 2026 posts give the phone number as 02-830-8588; a November 2024 post had 0507-1427-8609. Reservations appear only in copied info lines; no post says they booked.
- No post reports waiting. One arrived at 7:30 p.m. and got the last table, nearly having to wait, with many office groups dining. This means no one queued, not that there is never a wait.
- The 14 posts from September and October 2026 share structure and hashtags; one discloses sponsorship and another implies the meal was not paid for. Only one post, from November 2024, says the writer paid.
