Budaejjigae Daesagwan Guro Dijiteol Bonjeom
부대찌개대사관 구로디지털본점 Budae-jjigae is Korea's ham-and-sausage 'army base stew' and daesagwan means 'embassy', so the name reads 'the Army-Stew Embassy'; bonjeom marks this as the chain's head branch.

A Songtan-style army-stew house on the ground floor of Urim e-Biz Center 2 in Guro Digital Complex, and the chain's head branch. The house stew is 13,000 won per person with rice, the pot lands almost the moment you sit down, and a server adds minced garlic and bean sprouts once it boils. Lunch is mostly the stew; after 5 pm a pork-neck-and-sausage hot plate and sets join the menu. We read 30 posts from 23 June to 14 October 2026, 27 of them actual visits; two were about other restaurants and one was a slot in a listicle. Twenty of the 27 visits went up in a single week, 6 to 13 October, and many repeat the same promotional lines.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Food comes without a wait. Twenty posts said the pot arrived right after ordering, or even before they had settled in - one found the stew already set on the table, another said it came while they were still pouring water. One visitor asked why and was told lunch runs almost entirely on the one stew.
- Seventeen posts described a server coming over once the pot boils to drop in a heaped spoon of minced garlic and the bean sprouts; one advised leaving the lid alone until the server opens it. Extra broth sits on every table for you to top up yourself.
- Twenty-six posts said the portion is large, most often that two servings look like three; some left food behind. The meat-weight and 'three times more' figures are the shop's own claims and we did not rely on them.
- Rice is not stingy: eight posts said the bowl that comes with the stew is generous, one surprised to get it in a big serving bowl.
3 more
- Seventeen posts said the room is large - tables run along the windows, light floods in, and tables are well spaced. The seating capacity quoted is the shop's figure.
- Five posts said the table water is a tea, split between hovenia (hutgae) tea and barley tea; one noticed bottled hutgae tea for sale on the menu.
- Five posts came from repeat visitors, including one who has gone with his wife for years. One returning visitor noticed the fish-cake side dish was gone and only bean sprouts and kimchi remained.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 2 (of 26 posts read) |
|---|
It is not in a basement: two visitors described the red door on the building's ground floor.
We do not know whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or stroller gets in - not because there isn't one, but because nobody wrote about it. One visitor did say the entrance is confusing from the building side, with a paper sign pointing the way.
No visitor described the toilets or said whether they are inside the restaurant; a copied listing block mentions separate men's and women's toilets, which we did not count.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 27 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Nine posts found the staff friendly; one said service felt a bit lacking, perhaps because they were busy. A stock line praising 'friendly service and a clean room', repeated word for word across posts, was not counted.
- We cannot yet say whether lunch means a queue. Three posts walked straight in, but those include an early evening and a weekend; a long-time regular said lunch is busy enough to queue. The 'under ten minutes' wait line is shop copy repeated across posts and was not counted.
- One post mentioned a separate waiting area at the entrance; no other post did.
- Two visitors walked from the station and found it easy. The walk from Guro Digital Complex Station exit 3 is given as anything from five to ten minutes. Several posts say it is five minutes from Magok Station, which is nowhere near here - that line was evidently copied from another branch's blurb.
- Company does not cluster: two posts went with a spouse, and one each with a friend, a mother and co-workers; the rest did not say.
- Twenty posts gave opening hours: nineteen say 11:00 to 22:00, one says it opens at 11:30. Fifteen give last orders at 21:30. Almost all of this is copied from the listing; the only first-hand note is a visitor who found it open around 8 pm when nearby places had closed.
- Prices: the house stew is 13,000 won per person (26,000 for two), and most visitors added a 2,000-won ramyeon. Evening sets were listed at 39,000, 49,000 and 59,000 won for two, three and four, and the rolled-omelette set for two at 32,900 won. We did not tally 'good value' remarks because they echo the shop's own slogan.
- Most posts give the phone number as 0507-1365-4598; one gave 070-8865-4598. Naver and group reservations are mentioned in copied listings, but no visitor wrote about booking.
- Much of what is written about this place is sponsored. One post discloses payment and two say they were invited reviewers; the rest are silent, yet many from the same week share identical lines about the food arriving in a second, the garlic being the secret, and the 'tower of meat'. We counted only what posters described in their own words.
