Seoul Haejang Gunjayeok-jeom
서울해장 군자역점 Haejang means easing a hangover, so the name reads 'Seoul hangover soup'; Gunjayeok-jeom marks the Gunja Station branch.
Compiled from 16 blog posts read in fullSources →
A clay-pot hangover-soup shop on the ground floor along Neungdong-ro, a few minutes' walk from Gunja Station exit 7 toward the Megabox. The signature is a spicy seafood soup with crab, abalone and shrimp at 15,000 won; there is also pork rice soup at 13,000, a spicy version at 14,000, chicken gomtang at 12,000, plus an octopus hot pot and water-parsley pancakes for evening drinking. You order on your phone via a QR/NFC tag on the table and refill kimchi at a self-serve bar. It opened in late July 2026. We read 30 posts dated July 27 to October 17, 2026; 16 describe an actual meal, and the other 14 look like templated promotional copy, so we did not count them.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- The seafood soup is loaded. Ten posts called the portion generous, and several counted two abalone in the bowl. Of the five posts that talked about price, four thought it good value for 15,000 won; one found the 14,000-won spicy pork gukbap a bit expensive for a rice soup.
- There is no ordering at the counter: nine posts say you tap your phone on the table tag or scan its QR code. One noted that every extra order also goes through the phone, which could be hard for people not used to smartphones. Several mention a self-serve bar for more kimchi.
- Seven posts said the meat had no off smell (pork gukbap, boiled pork, dumplings). All four posts that ate the chicken gomtang singled out the chive salad that comes with it.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 1 (of 16 posts read) |
|---|
Only one post states in its own words that the shop is on the ground floor; elsewhere '1st floor' is just the copied address.
No one said whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or stroller gets in. That means unknown, not absent. One post mentions in passing that it is on the ground floor.
None of the genuine visit posts say where the toilet is or whether it is split by gender. A line praising a clean toilet appears only in a post we judged to be promotional copy, so we did not use it.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 30 posts we gathered, 14 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Spice reports differ: eight posts call it peppery or hot, one says the hot pot was not spicy, two reach no verdict. One post says the octopus hot pot is about Shin Ramyun level by default and the kitchen toned it down on request.
- Only one post waited: under ten minutes at the weekday lunch peak. Two others sat straight down, one right at Sunday opening, one at a weekday lunch. Nobody wrote about evenings.
- Company does not cluster: one post with friends, one with family and kids, one by car; posts with a husband or a coworker fit no category. Many mention solo diners around them, but none of the writers clearly went alone.
- Thirteen posts give the same hours, daily 11:00 to 22:00 with last order at 21:00, but all except one copy a listing block. 'No closing day' likewise comes from one copied block.
- Prices come from posts through September 2026. The 15,000-won seafood soup is consistent across posts, but the 35,000-won octopus hot pot and 12,000-won yukhoe bibimbap each appear in only one post copying the menu. One receipt-backed post totals 27,000 won for two.
- Seven posts list the same phone number, 0507-1310-5247, but none says from experience whether reservations are taken; one copied a note that it is not on CatchTable.
