Yamsaem Gimbap at Gasan Digital Complex Station is a snack-bar on the second floor of the Woolim Lions Valley office block, a minute from the station exit. The licence reads Yamsaem, Gasan Digital Complex Station branch; the sign and the customers use the chain's full name. It is a franchise outlet selling gimbap and tteokbokki alongside full set meals — kimchi stew, soft tofu, stir-fried pork — and the dish its customers name most often is the modagi, a combination plate of rolls, rice cakes and fritters. It opens at seven, and most of who comes through the door works in the towers around it. The posts we read run from November 2024 to May 2026.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- You order for yourself and you fetch your own side dishes. Two kiosks at the door take the order and ask whether you are eating in. A self-serve counter along one wall holds kimchi, pickled radish and hot udon broth, and — to one regular's open delight — a tub of chopped spring onion, so that anyone who loves the stuff can help himself without being watched. Water is self-serve too, from a cooler beside a cup steriliser. The rolls are made after you order, at a counter open enough to watch.
- More of these posts come from people who keep going back than from people trying it once. One regular says he has never ordered anything but the modagi, and links to his own visit from six months before; another uses it for breakfast with colleagues; a third, listing only the places around the complex he had been to at least twice in a year, calls it the one he went to most. This is a shop on a commute rather than an outing, and the writing reflects it: prices, opening times and the self-serve bar rather than grand impressions.
- Opinion on price splits, and it splits along a clean line: the set meals are called cheap and the rolls are called dear. The writer who had the kimchi-stew set thought a spread like that for just over ₩10,000 was hard to find near the station. The writer who ordered a roll, a ramyeon and tteokbokki balked at ₩4,200 for a plain roll and said the place did not repay what it charged. A separate post that compared the plain roll at five gimbap shops in the complex puts this one at ₩4,200 against ₩3,500 at two others and ₩2,800 at a third — among the neighbourhood's gimbap, it is the expensive end.

What people order
The most ordered dish is yamsaem gimbap (얌샘김밥 (기본 김밥)) — 2 of 6 posts.
The prices here are what bloggers wrote down in their posts, and they may have changed since. Check Naver Place for the current menu and prices. This list is not a menu board — it counts what bloggers actually ordered and ate. Check on Naver Place

Getting there

Naver Map has a full English mode — Settings → Language → English. In Korea it gives better walking and transit directions than Google Maps.
Getting inside
| Second floor | 1 of 6 posts |

We do not know whether you can get in without a step. The shop is on the second floor of an office building, and one writer describes climbing to it. But not one of the eight posts mentions a threshold, a ramp, a lift, or getting in with a wheelchair or a pushchair. One writer puts the shop fifteen metres from a subway exit, so it is close — but whether you can go from that exit to the door without stairs is something we have not been able to establish. If it matters, the phone number is the surer route.
No one mentioned: In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 7 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- On the toilet, nobody wrote anything either. One post lists separate men's and women's toilets, but that line too is copied from the Naver Place entry, and we do not even know whether the toilet is inside the shop or out in the building's corridor. Not one of the eight writers mentions using it — again, not an absence of toilets, but an absence of writing about them.
- The two writers who sized up the room disagree. One, in November 2024, put it at about twenty seats and called it small; another, in April 2025, at thirty-five to thirty-eight. Both were eyeballing it, and nothing in any post suggests the room changed in between — we could not settle which is right. What is certain is that you can sit down, and that one writer saw a good many people carrying lunch out.
- Nobody reports queueing — but nobody says the food is quick, either. Not one post mentions a lunchtime wait, and that is with one of the same writers noting the queues at a noodle shop and a kalguksu place a street away. What two posts do say is that the food takes its time: one warns you may wait a while once the orders stack up, and another, from a writer who paid his own way, complains that for a snack-bar the combination plate was not fast.
- Why eight and not ten. Two of the ten posts we collected are not evidence. One is a month's diary of more than thirty meals out, in which every Yamsaem is the branch in Giheung, an hour south of here — it was swept in because a different shop in our building appears in it. The other, from July 2026, is the shop's own Naver Place listing rewritten end to end: the menu names still carry their "[NEW]" tags, the facilities and the review keywords are copied in full, and there is not one line about eating anything. The remaining eight are eight different people; no one wrote twice. None declares a sponsorship or a free meal, and one states plainly that he paid. Four of the eight, though, are round-ups of several restaurants in the complex, and in those we read and counted only the passage about this shop.
- The three posts that give opening hours disagree about Saturday. Two of them — November 2024 and January 2026 — give 07:00–20:30 on weekdays but 09:00–14:00 on Saturday, with last orders at 20:00 and 13:30 respectively. A third, from February 2026, flattens it to 07:00–20:30 Monday through Saturday. The split version is the more detailed and the more common, but we could not establish which is current — if you are thinking of a late Saturday afternoon, ring first. All three agree the shop closes on Sundays, and one adds public holidays. On a mid-afternoon break nobody says anything either way.
