A sundaeguk house on the ground floor of an office tower three to seven minutes' walk from Gasan Digital Complex station. The wall tells its story: started in 1985 at Wonmi market in Bucheon, carried down from grandmother to mother to grandson, and a note on the window insists it is not a chain. One writer counts only two branches, the Bucheon original and this one. At lunch it belongs to the office workers of the surrounding industrial park; in the evening the boiled pork, hotpots and grilled intestine turn it into a drinking table. Closed Sundays. What sets it apart
- The broth room is behind glass, on purpose. The shop has given it a name — yuksusil, the stock room — and you can watch the cauldrons work. One writer saw them through the window while queueing outside; another reads the openness as confidence. The sign outside says: since 1985, Korean pork only, twelve hours in the pot. Two writers went in because of it. Three say the radish kimchi and the chive salad dressing are made on the premises — but all three are repeating what they were told, not what they saw.
- It is built for eating alone. Seven posts describe single seats ranged along the window, with two-person and group tables kept separate from them. One writer notes that some places turn a solo diner away at lunch and this one did not; another found a phone charger at the single seat; a third prefers these window places to the long wall-facing bars other shops use. Groups are not shut out either: book ahead and the middle tables are pushed together for eight, one post says.
- The way you order changed while we were reading. Two April 2025 posts describe a paper slip on the table: you tick the dishes and hand it over. An October 2025 post has an update appended by its own author — "18 Nov: there are kiosks at every seat now, much easier." All three 2026 posts simply order and pay at the table screen. The big board on the wall is still there, but one writer prefers the kiosk because the dishes come with pictures.
- They disagree about the broth — but only about how far it goes. Eight posts agree there is no off smell. After that they part. Close to ten call it deep and clean; one calls it a broth anyone can drink and therefore a little plain for a sundaeguk obsessive, closer to seolleongtang, and titles the post "perfectly fine." We do not know whether you can get in with a wheelchair. In seventeen posts the words wheelchair, pushchair, threshold, ramp and step do not appear once. Here is all we have: nine writers place it on the ground floor, and not one mentions stairs; one found the door standing wide open and easy to walk through; one describes a glass front you can see into. Two warn that the unit is tucked round the back of the building and takes finding. Ground floor is not the same as no step. Nobody measured the doorway or what is in front of it.

What we do not know
- Nobody looked at the toilet. One post of the seventeen mentions one at all, and that one is a copied line of listing data — takeout, separate men's and women's, wi-fi, groups welcome, parking. Whether it is inside the shop or out in the corridor, and how many stalls, no writer says. The shop is a ground-floor unit in an office tower, so it may well be the building's shared facility, but we could not confirm that.
- The posts cannot agree on which exit to take. Four say exit 8, one says 9, one says 10, one says 10 or 11 and adds that exit 8 on line 7 works too. The walk is given as anything from three to seven minutes. Gasan Digital Complex is a large interchange with many exits, so you can probably get there from any of them — we just could not work out which is closest. Two writers found the unit itself hard to spot, tucked round the back, so allow a little wandering once you reach the tower. One says she only found it by following the map.
- No post here declares a sponsored meal. Four of the seventeen say outright that they paid their own way; the other thirteen say nothing about money at all. We could not find the usual marks of commissioned writing either: no two posts share a hashtag block, none went up in a same-day batch, and all seventeen say what was actually ordered and eaten. Still, silence is not proof of a bill paid — what we counted is only that nobody declared otherwise. Eleven posts quote prices. Where they disagree it mostly reads as the prices going up over time — the plain bowl from ₩9,000 to ₩10,000 — though the spicy one stays split between ₩11,000 and ₩12,000.
- One hole in the opening hours we did not paper over. The move from 11:00 to 10:30 reads cleanly by date — eleven until spring 2025, half past ten from that summer. But two posts from September 2025 give something else entirely: Monday to Thursday 10:30–14:30, Friday 10:00–22:00. That timetable has no afternoon break and no dinner service, and both posts go on to describe the dinner menu, so they contradict themselves. They look like two copies of one bad source, and with no way to check we left them as written. A third post offers only "10:30–23:00." Ring ahead if you are going on a Saturday — some posts have it open until 21:00, others closing at 14:30. On Sunday all eight agree it is shut. One writer also reports a day closed because the kitchen had run out.
