Oseuta Dakgalbi

오스타닭갈비 Dakgalbi is spicy chicken stir-fried on an iron griddle; none of the posts explain what 'Oseuta' means.

Compiled from 29 blog posts read in fullSources →

Oseuta Dakgalbi is an iron-griddle dakgalbi restaurant on the second floor of a building right outside exit 2 of Gasan Digital Complex station. You go in through a ground-floor door next to a CU convenience store and take the stairs up. Posts say this is the old Eomason Chuncheon Dakgalbi, which ran for 35 years and then renamed itself and moved here. Chuncheon dakgalbi is 14,000 won per person and cheese dakgalbi is 17,000. The owner stir-fries it for you on a big round griddle, and you finish with flying-fish-roe fried rice (3,000 won). We read 30 posts dated from 24 June to 16 October 2026. One was about a convenience store in Mongolia, so we set it aside. The other 29 are all first-hand visits.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.

What sets it apart

  1. You don't have to cook. Twenty-one posts said the owner or staff stir-fried the dakgalbi or the rice for them. Several said the rice was spread flat and they were told to let it crisp for two or three minutes. One post said that when the owner was busy with other tables, they were just asked to stir now and then so it wouldn't burn. Posts also mention there is no call bell, and a sign on the wall says staff will watch for customers' gestures instead.
  2. Where it gets cooked depends on when you go. Fourteen posts from 29 July to 12 September 2026 said the dakgalbi was fully cooked at another table and brought over ready to eat. Several liked that nothing splattered on them and it stayed cool. In the same weeks, four posts had it cooked on their own griddle, as did four June posts and one October post. One writer guessed this was because of the summer heat.
  3. Twelve posts said the portions are big. The menu reportedly lists 200 g of chicken per person, and one post that ordered for two said it really did feel like 400 g of meat. Eleven posts said the chicken had no gamey smell, and none said it did.
  4. You get tea instead of water. Four posts said so: two called it barley tea and two said it was hovenia (heotgae) tea. One said it came half-frozen and ice-cold.
3 more
  1. Fourteen posts said that writing a Naver receipt review gets you one free noodle add-in: instant ramen, jjolmyeon or udon. Only one post gave the noodles' regular price, 2,500 won. Three posts got an Excellent ice cream after the meal, one more got an unnamed ice cream, and another got watermelon.
  2. Twenty-four posts said it's close to the station. One said it's a one-minute walk from exit 2, just across the crosswalk, and others put it at two to five minutes on foot. One post walked about five minutes from exit 4. Nobody came by bus; one post copied the nearby stop numbers as information.
  3. Nineteen posts said the room is spacious. They describe round four-person griddle tables plus long tables for groups, and several saw office parties there on weekday evenings. Four mentioned big windows or a window seat, two mentioned chairs with storage for bags, and five noted phone chargers and hair ties set out near the entrance.

From the station

Twenty-four posts said it's close to the station. One said it's a one-minute walk from exit 2, just across the crosswalk, and others put it at two to five minutes on foot. One post walked about five minutes from exit 4. Nobody came by bus; one post copied the nearby stop numbers as information.

Getting inside

Second floor19 of 29 posts
Toilet inside5 of 29 posts
Separate restrooms1 of 29 posts

There's no disagreement about the floor: it's the second floor, not a basement. Nobody said whether a lift goes up there.

The restaurant is on the second floor. Nineteen posts said so, and eight described going in through a ground-floor door and up a staircase, one calling the stairs a little steep. No post mentions a lift, wheelchairs, strollers or a step at the door. That doesn't mean access is easy; it means nobody wrote about it.

Five posts said from their own visit that the toilet is inside the restaurant, so you don't have to go down to the ground floor. One of them said there are separate men's and women's toilets. Four said the smoking room is inside as well. One writer seated right next to it complained that smoke drifted in every time its door opened.

No one mentioned: In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know

  • Most of these posts follow the same template. Nearly all 29 carry the 35-years and newly-relocated lines, an info box, the review promotion and the same map link, in much the same order. They are bunched between late June and September 2026. Only three disclose sponsorship, and the rest say nothing either way. Please weigh the praise for taste and friendliness with that in mind.
  • The move happened before the first post we read (24 June 2026), so every count on this page is for the current address, 312-1 Beotkkot-ro, second floor. No post says where the old Eomason Chuncheon Dakgalbi used to be, and only one writer had actually eaten at the old place.
  • All opening hours are copied info, and the copied values changed. Weekends are consistently 17:00–22:00, last order 21:00. Weekdays open at 11:00 with a break from 14:30 to 16:30. For weekday closing, seven posts up to 2 July 2026 say 23:50 and eighteen posts from 29 July to 12 September say 23:30 (last order 22:30). One post from 16 October says 23:00 (last order 22:00). No post mentions a regular closing day.
  • No post says they had to wait. One from 24 June 2026 walked straight in. Others say the room filled up once offices let out at 6 pm on weekdays, or that customers kept coming in. We don't know whether a line forms at peak times.
  • Opinions on heat are split: three posts found it spicy, two said it wasn't, and one said it was milder than it looks but still had a kick. Most of the rest just called it sweet and spicy.
  • Six posts saw a sign saying the price of Chuncheon dakgalbi drops from 14,000 to 12,000 won at weekday lunch, and one copied the hours as 11:30–14:30. None of them actually ate lunch there and paid that price.
  • Several posts give the same phone number, 02-868-3294, and their info boxes say group and Naver bookings are possible. But no post says they actually booked before going.
