Ocheonjip

오천집 Ocheon means five thousand and jip means house — named for the 5,000-won bowl of bean-sprout gukbap.

Compiled from 25 blog posts read in fullSources →

Ocheonjip is a bean-sprout gukbap house on the ground floor of Byucksan Digital Valley 5 near Gasan Digital Complex station. The basic bowl is 5,000 won; kimchi or dried-pollack versions and cold acorn-jelly soup are 7,000, stone-pot bibimbap and the house pork cutlet 8,500. Gukbap arrives boiling in an earthenware pot with a raw egg to crack in. With pancakes, dumplings, tteokbokki and moju by the glass on the menu, many visitors ordered several sides to share. We read 30 posts from 19 December 2025 to 17 October 2026, of which 25 describe an actual visit; one about the Sinchon branch and one about a Chinese restaurant in the same building's basement were set aside.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. All 25 visit posts called it cheap; none said it was expensive. One couple paid 10,000 won for two basic bowls; four dishes came to 27,500 won in one post, and two mains, two sides and two drinks to 32,500 in another. Listed prices stayed the same from December 2025 through October 2026.
  2. There is a separate seated waiting room by the entrance — 13 posts mention it. Some note old-style snacks like tofu crackers sold beside it for 3,500 won.
  3. Expect a wait at lunch. Four posts waited or saw a line: one waited about five minutes at peak, one says the line starts around 11:15 on weekdays and to arrive before 11:10, and one calls a weekday-lunch wait unavoidable. Two more found it full but say tables turned over fast, so it is unclear whether they waited. Seven said food came out quickly.
  4. Kkakdugi, squid jeotgal, salted shrimp and chopped chili come as standard, with refills from a self-serve bar — 17 posts say so. Four note an extra raw egg costs 500 won. Seven posts ordered on a table tablet; one described choosing at a kiosk and paying on the way out.
4 more
  1. Fifteen posts describe a large dining room, with two-, four- and six-person tables and two-seaters by the window used by solo diners. Thirteen call it clean; one noted not a drop of kkakdugi juice spilled at the self-serve corner.
  2. Sixteen posts found portions generous; one said the sprouts were nearly as much as a bowl of noodles. On rice opinions split: five said there was plenty, one said the rice portion is not large, and another thought big eaters might want a bit more.
  3. Nine posts said the house pork cutlet has a crisp coating. Thickness is disputed: three called it thick, one described it as pounded thin, old-fashioned style. One post said no rice comes with it; two said it does.
  4. Six posts describe walking from exit 6 of Gasan Digital Complex station: cross at the crosswalk under the Suchul Bridge overpass and it is the building right in front, about five minutes at an easy pace. Three mention it is on the ground floor.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

From the station

Six posts describe walking from exit 6 of Gasan Digital Complex station: cross at the crosswalk under the Suchul Bridge overpass and it is the building right in front, about five minutes at an easy pace. Three mention it is on the ground floor.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 3 (of 25 posts read)

Three posts place it on the ground floor; none mention a basement or upper floor.

We do not know whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller gets in. Posts say it is on the ground floor, but none describe the doorway — that means nobody wrote about it, not that there is a problem.

We do not know whether the toilet is inside the restaurant. Separate men's and women's toilets appear only in copied facility listings; no visitor wrote about using one.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 28 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • It is open 24 hours — 23 visit posts say so. But nine add a weekly closure from 9 pm Sunday to 7 am Monday, while nine say only open every day; most of this is copied listing text. Check before a Sunday-night visit. One post also mentions a Chuseok closure on 25–27 September 2026.
  • Many posts list the phone number 02-6952-5025, all copied from the listing. No one wrote about calling ahead or making a reservation.
  • Seven posts mention a review event, and the reward changed over time: a free dish for a Google review in December 2025, a choice of tteokgalbi, jeonbyeong or a drink in March 2026, and a drink or bean-sprout pen in September–October. Fifteen near-identical posts cluster between late September and mid-October 2026, one of them disclosed as sponsored; four more cluster around the December 2025 opening, one also sponsored. Two posts say they paid their own way.
  • Some prices conflict: one post gives the pollack gukbap as both 7,000 and 8,000 won and the stone-pot bibimbap as both 8,500 and 8,000; another lists kimchi dumplings at 7,000 where others say 5,000. On cutlet thickness posts split three to one.
