SANNO
산노 Sanno Sanno is the Japanese reading of 山王, 'mountain king' — one diner noted it is also the name of the fictional Sannoh high school in Slam Dunk.

A Japanese izakaya that opened in autumn 2026 on the ground floor of a building in an alley off Apgujeong-ro 42-gil. Counter seats wrap an open kitchen, with tables and a private room besides; you order small plates — sushi, sashimi, hot pots, fried dishes — alongside sake, shochu and wine. Prices mentioned: Kirin draft 12,000 won, tori negishio 18,000, a five-piece sushi plate 18,000, abalone-liver nabe 36,000; one party of three spent 111,000 won on food alone. We read 20 posts dated November 2024 to October 2026; 13 of them, from 13 September to 23 October 2026, describe a visit. The other seven — five Japanese history articles and two about an unrelated café called Sannolu — were set aside.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Thin fried lotus-root chips arrive free when you sit down — ten of the 13 visit posts mention them, one wondering whether they could really be the complimentary snack. Six posts also received something on the house: fried chicken, monkfish liver, sweet-shrimp sushi or dessert.
- A counter wraps the central open kitchen. Eight posts describe watching the cooks, one estimating 12–14 counter seats plus two tables for two behind them. Five posts note how clean the kitchen and room were.
- There is one private room behind a sliding door. Eight posts mention it, two say it seats six, one notes a drawer cabinet for coats and bags inside, and one suggests calling ahead to use it.
- Each person must order a drink, alcoholic or not — two posts noted it from the menu and it recurs in copied info blocks. Non-alcoholic beer and soft drinks are available.

Of the two posts that drove, one parked right in front of the shop and the other at the nearby LF headquarters; a third saw parking spaces outside the building. The 5,000-won parking and 5,000-won valet fees come from copied info blocks.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 2 (of 13 posts read) |

| Toilet inside | 2 of 13 posts |
Two posts confirm the shop is on the ground floor, though you enter through the building lobby and a separate door; one places it to the right of the building elevator.
No one wrote about a step at the door or wheelchair or stroller access — that is unknown, not absent. One post walked past at first because there is no sign, and three say the entrance on the building's left side is easy to miss.
Two posts say the restroom is inside the shop, and three describe it as very clean. Whether it is separated by gender, no one wrote.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know
- Only one post describes arriving by public transport — by bus, and easily. Figures like '665 m from Apgujeong Rodeo Station exit 6' are copied from map listings.
- No post mentions waiting. One Saturday 6 pm visitor found two tables occupied and nearly a full room by the time they left, and recommends booking.
- Five posts went with friends or acquaintances and three with a spouse or partner; none went alone or with children.
- Ten posts give opening hours, all copied from listings. Eight agree on 5 pm to 1 am, closed Tuesdays; one says closed Tuesdays and Sundays, another daily 5 pm to midnight with last order at 11. The place is new, so check by phone.
- Only one post calls it pricey, 'a little expensive' but fair for Apgujeong. The same post's sake bottles cost 75,000 and 210,000 won, so the bill depends heavily on what you drink.
- Five posts give the same phone number, 0507-1343-9757. Reservations appear in copied info blocks and one visitor recommends booking; corkage (from 30,000 won a bottle) is also copied.
- No post discloses sponsorship, but many October 2026 posts share the same title keyword, hashtag set and info block, so promotional copy may be mixed in. Only one says the visitor paid.
- One post says the owner previously ran a restaurant called Hobyeolgwan; it doesn't say whether it was at this address, so we have not treated it as a relocation.
