Mutan's Apgujeong flagship is a Chinese restaurant on the ground floor of a side street off Nonhyeon-ro 176-gil in Sinsa-dong, toward Apgujeong Station exit 2. Its signature is black-bean noodles topped with tenderloin steak and truffle, 35,000 won in 2026 posts (27,000 won half-size). Dishes like the chilli yuringi (49,000 won), two macaron shrimp toasts (22,000 won) and beef tenderloin sweet-and-sour (58,000 won) put most plates at 40,000–60,000 won, so posts describe it as a place to share. Five posts said you order from a tablet or kiosk at the table. We read 30 posts from 9 September 2025 to 13 October 2026; 17 were first-hand visits. We set aside 8 about other restaurants (two about the Yeouido branch) and did not count 5 introductions or listicles. Of the visits, five said they paid their own way and one disclosed sponsorship.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Nine posts said the portions are large. Of a single bowl of the truffle noodles, posts wrote that it is about two servings; one said its jjamppong fed two or three, another that the steak alone was enough for three. Three posts took leftovers home, and one said packing cost an extra 1,000 won.
- Seven posts called the food heavy, mostly the truffle noodles wearing on them partway through. Four said they piled the yuringi chillies onto the noodles to cut it. One found the truffle too sweet.
- Despite the mound of chillies on the yuringi, four posts said it is not hot at all. The only post to call anything spicy was one that ate the mapo tofu.
- Eight posts said the room is spacious, with well-spaced tables that seated a party of five comfortably. Three said it was not noisy, and four mentioned private rooms.
3 more
- Four posts booked ahead: via Naver, via CatchTable a day before, and a Friday 6pm booking with a 50,000-won deposit refunded on arrival. Another walked in at opening.
- Two posts described walking from the station: one took a bus with a transfer and walked from Apgujeong exit 3; the other said to follow the Daiso alley from exit 2.
- Three posts went as a couple, three with friends or colleagues, one with a family of five, and one alone.

Parking
3 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Three posts said you can park. Two put the valet behind the building at 4,000 won; one warned it only holds a few cars and pointed to a paid lot across the street. Another used a paid lot behind the restaurant.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
Two posts described walking from the station: one took a bus with a transfer and walked from Apgujeong exit 3; the other said to follow the Daiso alley from exit 2.
Getting inside
| Toilet inside | 2 of 17 posts |
|---|---|
| Separate restrooms | 1 of 17 posts |
No post described the floor. The address says ground floor, but nobody mentioned stairs or a basement — that means nobody wrote about it, not that there is nothing to note.
Nobody wrote about a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. One post only noted that high chairs are available.
Two posts said the restroom is inside the restaurant; one added it is separated by gender and clean.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 22 posts we gathered, 5 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Waiting splits three to three. Three posts saw a queue (about two parties waiting around 7pm on a Friday; tables full and a line forming by 6:30pm), three walked straight in (Sunday noon, a weekday at 2pm, an off-hour on a holiday Sunday). One said you can walk in unless it is weekend peak. No post gave a wait time in minutes. One said tables are limited to 90 minutes.
- Posts split one to one on a waiting area: a September 2025 post said there is a separate one; a September 2026 post said you cannot wait inside and must register on Tabling and wait elsewhere.
- The truffle noodles went up: 33,000 won in a September 2025 post, 35,000 won in posts from June 2026 visits on. An October 2026 post wrote 55,000 won a bowl, which matches the six-times-truffle version, so we counted it as that. On price, seven posts called it expensive and four said it was steep but justified by the portion. Two people having the three signatures paid 106,000 won.
- All nine visit posts that gave hours wrote 11:00–22:00, and eight gave a 20:50 last order. Five said there is no afternoon break, two that it is open every day of the year. Most of this was copied from the listing, so we do not treat it as checked first-hand.
- Three posts list the phone number as 02-549-9339 and two as 0507-1313-9339, all inside copied info blocks. One post said same-day reservations are by phone.
- Three posts from 12–18 September 2026 look like the same template: identical hashtag sets, two repeating the same list of celebrity visitors, one disclosing a voucher from the brand. Each records an actual meal, so we counted them. Claims about celebrity regulars, Blue Ribbon listings and domestic chicken thigh were copied, not observed, and we did not rely on them.
