Daebong Kalguksu Bossam
대봉칼국수보쌈 Kalguksu bossam names the two things the house serves — knife-cut noodle soup and boiled pork for wrapping; no post explains the word Daebong.

Daebong Kalguksu Bossam sits inside the Gangnam Market food court of the Gangnam Sangga apartment block on Apgujeong-ro 2-gil, a three-to-five-minute walk from exit 8 of Sinsa Station. The go-to order is the bossam set: knife-cut noodles in clear pork broth (9,000 won alone) with a plate of boiled pork, 13,000 won, or 14,000 won if you switch to cold or mixed noodles. Any meal order unlocks free barley rice and thick soybean stew at the self-bar, and you order by scanning a QR code at the table. We read 30 posts dated 4 August to 19 October 2026; 27 record an actual meal. Two posts about other restaurants (one about the Gwanghwamun branch) were set aside, and one listing post was not counted.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Fourteen posts went back to the self-bar for more barley rice, soybean stew, kimchi or lettuce. The catch is a leftover charge: several posts give it as 3,000 won for barley rice and 2,000 won for white rice. There is also a note telling diners to go easy on the salty stew.
- Twelve posts say neither the pork nor the broth had any porky smell; none say it did. One diner watched the open kitchen: the pork is slow-cooked in advance in a rice-cooker-style pot and sliced to order.
- Ten posts mention the autographs on the wall; the names given are footballers Lee Kang-in and Lee Seung-woo, and Rosé.
- Eleven posts ordered via the QR code on the table; one adds that ordering out loud also works. Six mention the receipt-review deal: double meat on your noodles or a can of soda.
7 more
- Seven posts walked from Sinsa Station, three to five minutes from exit 8. The restaurant is inside the market rather than on the street, and some first-timers wandered; one post advises taking the left of the two entrances opposite the Woori Bank Sinsa-dong branch.
- All three posts that came by car talk about valet: two phoned the valet number posted by the restaurant (one says it arrived within ten minutes), and one was offered valet but used a private lot nearby, noting that the market building's own lot is off-limits. Rates such as '5,000 won for 120 minutes' are copied listing text.
- No post reports queueing. Three say they were seated straight away — on a weekday lunch, at Friday lunch peak, and at 2 p.m. on a weekend. Still, one found every table but one taken on a Friday evening, and another watched a crowd pour in right after an early weekday lunch. One post booked ahead.
- Ten posts say they left stuffed. Two, however, say the pork itself is not a big serving, and another calls the set's pork 'not huge' but right alongside the noodles — the fullness comes partly from the free barley rice.
- Nobody calls it expensive; eight posts call it good value. One group of three paid 60,000 won for the small squid bossam, a large pork-noodle set and more.
- Four posts note a free coffee machine and ice maker for an americano after the meal.
- Five posts that ordered the spicy rice soup or spicy noodles call them hot; one says the first spoonful made them yelp. Four posts describe the pork-broth and cold noodles as lightly seasoned.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
Seven posts walked from Sinsa Station, three to five minutes from exit 8. The restaurant is inside the market rather than on the street, and some first-timers wandered; one post advises taking the left of the two entrances opposite the Woori Bank Sinsa-dong branch.
Getting inside
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 1 (of 27 posts read) |
|---|
Accounts of the floor differ: one post puts it on the ground floor inside the market building, another says that via the middle-right door it 'feels like basement level 1'. No one says whether there are steps.
No post describes entering with a wheelchair or stroller. 'Wheelchair-accessible entrance' appears only in one copied listing, and one post notes there is no separate door since the shop opens straight onto the market aisle. Whether there is a step, we don't know — nobody wrote about it.
Only one post mentions the toilet: a market toilet right outside the shop, with no paper and not even a holder in the stall. Whether toilets are separated by gender appears only in copied listing text, so we can't say.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 28 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- No sign of a move. What changed is the menu: a mid-August 2026 post says cold noodles had just been added (they still appear in mid-October posts), and two posts say oyster bossam started on 13 October. Soy-milk noodles appear only in an early-August post. One post calls the cold noodles a summer item, so they may disappear off-season.
- Opening hours vary between posts. Eight give Mon–Sat 11:00–21:30 (break 15:30–17:00, last order 20:30) and Sunday 11:00–20:30 (last order 19:30), mostly in copied info blocks; others say it closes at 20:30 daily (two), opens at 11:30 on Sunday (one), or closes at 21:30 on Sunday with no break (one). Worth checking before you go.
- Three posts call the place clean, but one says the plate and spoon had chili flakes on them when they sat down.
- Ten posts carry the identical trio of search hashtags ('Gangnam Market kalguksu', 'Seoul kalguksu', 'Garosu-gil restaurant recommendation'), and several more use the same phrases in their titles. None declares sponsorship, though one notes paying 'extra out of pocket', which reads like a hosted visit; three say they paid themselves. Read the uniformly warm verdicts with that in mind.
- Many posts list the phone number as 02-544-0184. One post booked ahead but doesn't say how (by phone or via Naver). Prices show no change between August and October 2026.
