A branch of the Donggung Jjimdak braised-chicken chain, upstairs on the second floor of a building with a tripe restaurant at street level, in the Yeonsinnae Rodeo alley near Yeonsinnae Station. You order on a tablet at the table; the signature Donggung hwanggeum jjimdak is 23,000 won for a small (half chicken), plus 3,000 won for boneless and 1,000 won for a bowl of black rice. A card on every table tells you to finish by mixing the leftover sauce with rice, laver and sesame oil. We read 30 posts from 6 September to 14 October 2026: 29 ate in, one ate delivery at home. The posts cluster within about five weeks and repeat the same search phrases and the same tip about free dumplings with a Naver booking; only one discloses sponsorship.

What sets it apart
- Portion size comes up more than anything else: 17 of the 29 diners said it was a lot. One pair said a small left them stuffed with food to spare, another called a half portion of the aged-kimchi version impossible to finish, and some took leftovers home. Rice cake, potato, quail eggs, dumplings and glass noodles come in the pot as standard.
- Book through Naver and they put a free flat-dumpling topping on your pot: 13 posts booked and got it. One couple found dumplings they had not ordered and were told it was the booking promotion; others got them by writing a receipt review instead.
- The flat dumplings are the Daegu kind, thin wrappers fried; 14 posts called them crisp. Several say the owner told them to wrap chicken and noodles in a piece.

- Though upstairs, the room is large, 13 posts say (one called it only so-so). Four- and eight-seat tables and long group tables are described; the 46-person capacity is copied from the shop's own listing. Several mention burgundy walls, folding screens and a palace-style sun-and-moon painting.
- 17 posts called the place clean; one noticed the floors and tables, another liked seeing the cooking in the open kitchen. Nearly every post mentions the hair ties, disposable mouthwash, stain remover and aprons set out by the entrance or counter.

The restaurant is on the second floor; 12 posts describe going up, several by stairs. The stair entrance is tucked into the side alley by the karaoke sign next to the ground-floor tripe shop, and several people walked past it at first.
No one said whether there is a lift or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in. That means we do not know, not that there is none. Several posts mention climbing stairs to the second floor.
One post says the toilet is the building's, outside the restaurant; another says it is separated by gender. Nobody else covered it.

What we do not know
- Opening hours changed. The 13 posts up to 22 September 2026 list 10:00–21:30 daily with last orders at 21:00; the 10 from 23 September list 10:00–23:00 with last orders at 22:30. All of these are copied from the shop's listing, and no one went late at night.
- No one reported waiting. One found a single table occupied around 1 p.m. on a Saturday, one found it quiet at 2 p.m., one saw a single table during the Chuseok holiday, but no one says whether there is a queue at busy dinner hours. Food arrived in roughly five to ten minutes.
- Prices come from order lists in posts from September–October 2026. Only a few gave a full bill, and since most got the dumplings free, the price of ordering them separately is rarely recorded.
- The phone number given is 0507-1421-3383. Bookings mentioned were made through Naver, none by phone; one post suggests calling the shop if you get lost.
- Most posts follow the same template and search phrases (the celebrity cut-out, the YouTuber's autograph, the top-franchisee plaque, the hair ties and mouthwash, the Naver-booking dumplings), which suggests a review campaign.
