Compiled from 9 blog posts read in fullSources →

Kim Sambo's Euljiro branch, at Euljiro 250 near Dongdaemun History & Culture Park station, serves kimchi stew and grilled pork belly. Pork kimchi stew is 11,000 won a portion and comes with a pot of rice cooked to order plus ramyeon noodles; the big rolled omelette is 10,000 won and pork belly 19,000 won a portion. We read 30 posts dated 26 August to 17 October 2026; 9 of them describe eating here. Kim Sambo has many branches, so posts about the Bosingak, Jongno 3-ga, Myeongdong and Sinchon shops, and about a second 'Euljiro' shop on Chungmuro 5-gil, are left out of the counts.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Portion size comes up more than anything else: 7 of the 9 visit posts say the food is plentiful. Three note that a two-portion stew already holds half a pack of ramyeon, and one couple who ordered tuna kimchi stew for two left most of it.
  2. The stew arrives quickly but the pot rice takes a while. Two posts timed it, at 12 and 15 minutes; two others said there was a short wait but not a long one. One suggests eating the noodles while you wait.
  3. Three posts come from repeat customers: one has been coming since starting as a nurse 20 years ago, one goes often for pork belly, one has been twice. One post says they won't return, citing hygiene and service.
  4. Of the 7 posts that discuss price, 5 call it good value, pointing out that the pot rice and noodles are included in the stew price. None call it expensive.

Things you can check on site

These are raw counts, not percentages. Someone who did not mention something is not someone who disagreed.

The most ordered dish is gamasot-bap (가마솥밥) — 8 of 9 posts.

The prices here are what bloggers wrote down in their posts, and they may have changed since. Check Naver Place for the current menu and prices. This list is not a menu board — it counts what bloggers actually ordered and ate. Check on Naver Place

Where it is

Map showing where Gimsambo Euljiro-jeom is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside

No post says which floor the shop is on or whether there are stairs; only the registered address says ground floor.

Nobody mentions a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller.

No post says where the toilet is or whether it is separated by gender.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 13 posts we gathered, 4 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

2026-10-022 posts in one day

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • No post calls the staff friendly. Two found them curt or lacking; two had read reviews about rude staff and found them merely matter-of-fact rather than unkind. One notes that nobody explained the kettle on the table holds stock for topping up the stew.
  • No post mentions queuing. Two say they walked straight in, on a public-holiday evening and around 2 pm on a weekday. Nobody reports on the weekday lunch peak.
  • Two posts repeat that it is a 3-minute walk from exit 12 of Dongdaemun History & Culture Park station, but nobody described actually arriving by subway or bus.
  • Only four posts say who they came with: three with friends, one with a husband. One saw solo diners, but no post is from someone eating alone.
  • Seven visit posts all give the same hours — daily 9:00 to 21:30 with a break from 15:00 to 17:00 — though mostly copied from listings. One diner actually waited outside for the 5 pm reopening. A list post mentions older reviews describing the shop as 24-hour; when that changed is unknown.
  • Five posts give the same phone number, 02-2272-0189. Nobody says whether reservations are taken.
  • From August to October 2026 the stews are consistently 11,000 won a portion (12,000 for the mixed stew). One list post notes the registered menu still shows 10,000 won, so map-app prices may be out of date.
  • With so many branches under one name, posts are easy to mix up. A shop at Chungmuro 5-gil 6 is also called the 'Euljiro branch', but it has a different map listing and posts about both appear in the same weeks, so we treat it as a separate branch rather than a former address.
