Jumadeung 2

주마등2 Jumadeung is a revolving lantern, the word Koreans use for memories flashing past; this is the second branch of Jumadeung, two minutes' walk from the original.

Compiled from 29 blog posts read in fullSources →

Jumadeung 2 is a Korean drinking spot on the second floor of a building on Chungmuro 7-gil, near exit 10 of Euljiro 3-ga station, and the second branch of Jumadeung, two minutes' walk away. The house advertises four dishes found only here (chive-topped trotters, a restorative chicken and scorched-rice soup, spicy chicken feet in broth, and a buldak tuna roll in aged kimchi), and the posts repeat that line. Prices in the posts: 16,000 won for the plain kimchi tuna roll, 18,000 for the buldak version, 29,000 for the chicken feet, 31,000–32,000 for the beef intestine hotpot and 45,000 for the trotters. You order from a QR code on the table. We read 30 posts from 29 June to 14 October 2026; 29 of them describe an actual visit.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Cabbage salad with ketchup-mayo, dried seaweed and a dipping sauce arrive as soon as you sit. Sixteen posts mention this, and several say the seaweed is there for wrapping the tuna rolls. One post notes extra salad costs 1,500 won.
  2. Seventeen posts say the portions are large. One reckons the tuna roll carries about two cans of tuna; another counted ten pieces. Four women sharing the trotters still left meat behind.
  3. Ordering is by the QR code on each table; fourteen posts ordered that way, and several noticed the QR menu lists more than the board on the wall.
  4. It is a short walk from Euljiro 3-ga station: fourteen posts walked from the station, quoting two to five minutes, mostly from exits 9 or 10. One mentions a bus stop a minute away.

  1. Seven posts went with friends and five with a partner or spouse; one went with a sibling and one drove and so did not drink. Three saw a separate room for groups, one estimating about eight seats.

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

From the station

It is a short walk from Euljiro 3-ga station: fourteen posts walked from the station, quoting two to five minutes, mostly from exits 9 or 10. One mentions a bus stop a minute away.

Getting inside

Second floor16 of 29 posts
Toilet insideyes 0 · no 2 (of 29 posts read)
Separate restrooms1 of 29 posts

It is upstairs. Sixteen posts say you climb to the second floor, many of them by stairs. One describes it as above a charcoal-grill place; another says to go in by the Gungjeon karaoke sign and up a floor. Several mention pushing through an iron door at the top.

Every description of the way in is by stairs. No post mentions a lift, a step at the door, or getting in with a wheelchair or pram. That is not a no; nobody wrote about it.

The toilets seem to be outside the shop: one post says they are a floor up, another that the door code is posted on the way out. A third saw the code by the entrance and separate men's and women's rooms. Four more posts copied 'separate toilets' or 'outside toilet just in front' from listing info.

No one mentioned: In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 30 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Four posts walked straight in, including one at about 7pm on a Friday. Only one recalls a wait, on an earlier weekend visit, and walked in on a weekday this time; nobody gave a wait time. Several found it full even on weekdays, and four say the queue runs through CatchTable.
  • Opinions on price differ: one post found it not cheap overall, four called it reasonable. The beef intestine hotpot was 31,000 won in posts up to 6 October 2026 and 32,000 from 12 October. Ramen noodles are given as 1,000 or 2,000 won. One couple ate their fill for 55,000 won.
  • Thirteen posts copy the opening hours as 17:00–23:30 Monday to Saturday and 16:00–22:30 on Sunday. One gives a 22:00 Sunday close, another 17:00–23:00 daily with no days off; two give last orders at 22:30. All are copied listing info, so check before you go.
  • The phone number 010-4591-5445 appears in seven posts' copied info boxes. Reservations are likewise mentioned only in copied info; no post says it booked ahead.
  • Five posts disclose a sponsored or review-programme visit (Dinner Queen), and the same hashtag string sits on many undisclosed posts, so they may belong to the same campaign. The celebrity-chef line and the 'not at the original branch' menu come from the house and we did not count them. Two posts disagree on whether the beef tartare is frozen.
