ilmiri

일미리금계찜닭 명동점 Ilmiri Geumgye Jjimdak Myeongdong-jeom Two posts relay that Ilmiri means 'a village whose taste ranks first'; jjimdak is Korean braised chicken.

Compiled from 12 blog posts read in fullSources →

A braised-chicken (jjimdak) house filling the second to fourth floors of a building on Myeongdong 3-gil, right by exits 5 and 6 of Euljiro 1-ga station. The draw is boneless chicken buried in mozzarella; pairs mostly order Set A, a small pot with egg rice or scorched rice, for 32,500 won. We read 15 posts from September 2025 to October 2026; one was about a different restaurant on the ground floor and was set aside, and 12 describe an actual visit. One post notes it is a chain.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Six posts call the place roomy, with seats usually free even at busy times. Three, though, found the chairs uncomfortable: heavy wooden chairs that are hard to pull in, or continuous benches. One post found the tables close together and noisy; another says there are no private rooms.
  2. Six posts say the portions are large. One reckons two light eaters will leave chicken over from a small pot with two egg rices; a party of five shared one small and one medium; one post says leftovers can be packed to go.
  3. Three posts saw many foreign tourists at the tables, estimating half or 60 percent. Two noticed the review promotion runs on Google rather than Naver.
  4. Five posts mention Naver booking, and two actually booked; one says booked guests go straight up to the third floor.

Getting inside

Second floor5 of 12 posts
Toilet inside1 of 12 posts
Separate restrooms2 of 12 posts

The restaurant starts on the second floor; five posts sat on the second or third floor, and two describe walking up a staircase to get in. The ground floor is a different business. Two posts say the second and third floors are laid out identically.

No post says whether there is a lift or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in — unknown, not absent. Two posts walked up stairs.

One post says the toilets are inside the restaurant, women's apparently on the second floor and men's on the third; another found the women's toilet at the top of the stairs. Nobody mentions an accessible toilet.

No one mentioned: In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 14 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Waiting depends on the hour. Two posts saw a queue form around noon (one arrived at 11:20 and watched it build); four did not wait, visiting at 11:30 on a weekday, as dinner walk-ins, or on a weekday evening. No post gives a waiting time in minutes.
  • Only two posts say who they came with: three female friends, and five coworkers. Nobody writes about going alone or with children.
  • The small cloud-cheese pot was 31,500 won in posts from November 2025 and March 2026; one October 2026 post says 32,500 — the same as Set A, so we cannot tell a price rise from a mix-up. For two people the usual bill is Set A at 32,500 won.
  • Nine posts list the same hours, daily 10:00-22:00 with last order at 21:30, all copied from the listing; none mentions a closing day. Two posts give the phone number 02-3789-0220; reservations go through Naver.
