A Korean set-meal house in a mud-plaster and log building at 710 Dongnam-ro, Gangdong-gu, tucked down a lane below Iljasan's herb park. Grilled salted mackerel (18,000 won), yellow croaker (19,000 won), and glazed pollack or iron-plate bulgogi (17,000 won) come with porridge, 10 to 15 side dishes and doenjang stew; mackerel was ordered in 11 posts. Diners get 2,000 won off coffee and tea at the ground-floor cafe. We read 30 posts from December 2025 to October 2026; 24, from May to October 2026, describe actually eating there. Two were other businesses sharing the name and four only listed it.

What sets it apart

Seventeen posts describe two floors, and seven mention private rooms (two more said the rooms were more like partitioned corners). The upper floor overlooks the ground floor from a railing; one post counted four wooden tables in the ground-floor hall. One family with children always sat downstairs.
No post mentions a basement; the dining room is described as ground and upper floors. Four posts mention an annex next to the main building, but none ate in it.
Nobody wrote about a step, ramp or wheelchair entry. One post said the spacing suited strollers but did not say it brought one in. The upper floor is reached by stairs; no post mentions a lift.
Three posts say the toilets are outside the dining building — to the left of the entrance, between buildings; one says they are separated by sex. No post mentions an accessible toilet.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 28 posts we gathered, 4 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Five posts call the place awkward by public transport — about 25 minutes' walk from Gildong station, 15 to 20 from Jungang Bohun Hospital station. One reached it easily by bus, crossing the road from the stop; one walked from nearby. Work around the Line 9 station may change the walk.
- No post describes queuing. That means nobody wrote about it, not that there is never a wait. One saw two-thirds of tables taken at 6 pm on a Wednesday, another a nearly full ground floor near closing, and one suggests booking on weekends; two posts went with a reservation.
- Seventeen posts agree on the hours: 11:00 to 21:00, a 15:30-16:30 break on weekdays only, last order 20:10, mostly copied into info blocks. Nobody gave a regular closing day; two posts mention closing on Chuseok.
- Prices mostly agree, with a few splits: cockle pot rice is 19,000 won in three posts and 20,000 in one, and one June 2026 menu summary lists mackerel at 16,000 and barley rice at 12,000 against 18,000 and 17,000 elsewhere — likely an older menu, unconfirmed. A set runs 17,000 to 22,000 won a head with a two-portion minimum, so from 34,000 won for two. Two posts called it reasonably priced.
- Posts that list a phone number all give 02-486-0852. Two went with a reservation, and one says weekend rooms are hard to get without booking ahead; nobody described how bookings are taken.
- Twelve posts went with family, five as a couple, two in larger groups such as coworkers. None clearly went alone, and with the two-portion rule we cannot say how a solo diner fares.
- Six of the 24 visit posts carry the same five hashtags in the same order, and two posts from one blog follow the same sentence order; none disclose sponsorship. We counted them but leaned on stated facts — prices, seating, parking — rather than praise. Claims of a 30-year history, all-domestic ingredients and house-made sauces are the shop's or hearsay; the post that read the origin board found the meat and fish imported.
