Geumnyeong Gomtang occupies a converted red-brick house on both floors, in a lane behind Exit 1 of Wangsimni Station. It serves clear Korean-beef shank soup with the rice already in the brass bowl: gomtang 13,000 won, the water-dropwort version 14,000, a rice-noodle version 13,000, with seasoned pollack (14,000) and table-simmered beef (39,000 for two) on the side. Parking reports conflict. A January 2025 post (visit in October 2024) says one car can park at the entrance; an October 2026 post found no parking and used a paid lot nearby. We cannot tell whether this changed. The 'no parking' lines in other posts are copied from the listing.

Seating is on two floors. Nine posts mention the upstairs room, one went up because the ground floor was full, two ate on the ground floor, and none mentions a basement.
There are steps up to the entrance. Five posts mention climbing stairs to get in, and one family had to carry their stroller up. The second floor is reached by an inside wooden staircase.
No post describes entering by wheelchair, and nobody mentions a ramp or a step-free entrance.
One post says the toilet is indoors and clean. Separate men's and women's toilets appear only in copied listing text, and nobody mentions an accessible toilet.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 29 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- No post reports waiting. One walked straight in at 7 pm on a weekday; others say weekday lunch (11:30–12:30) gets busy, but nobody gives an actual wait time. One post mentions waiting seats in the front garden.
- Nearly every post gives 10:30–22:00 with a 15:00–17:00 break, last order 21:30 and Sundays closed, but all of it is copied from the listing. One post gives a 10:00 opening and another says only Saturdays open at 10:00.
- Prices have gone up. A November 2025 post lists gomtang at 12,000 won and the beef pot at 55,000 for three and 69,000 for four; posts from September 2026 give 13,000, 57,000 and 73,000. One post called the price in line with other soup places.
- Most posts give the phone number as 0507-1308-2399; one gives 02-2299-2399. Reservations appear only in copied listing text; no post says it booked ahead.
- The dropwort dishes and the dumplings appear only in posts from September 2026 on. With just five earlier posts, we cannot tell whether they are new or simply went unmentioned. The rice noodles were already noted in January 2025.
- Twenty-three posts landed in October 2026 alone, with the same search phrases repeated in their titles. None discloses sponsorship, but one says it would like to come back 'next time with my own money'. Weigh the praise in that batch accordingly.
