Daemyeong Sogopchang Wangsimni-jeom
대명소곱창 왕십리점 Daemyeong is a proper name and sogopchang means grilled beef small intestine; this is the Wangsimni branch, which posts tie to the older Daemyeong Sogopchang in Gunja.

A grilled beef-tripe house in the Doseon-dong shopping lane by the fire station, a minute from exit 2 of Wangsimni Station (Muhak-ro 2-gil 50). Order the mixed grill (250 g, 28,000 won) and staff cook the small and large intestine, abomasum and heart at your table from start to finish, then fry rice (3,000 won) in the leftover fat. We read 27 posts from February 2025 to October 2026; 19 describe an actual meal. We set aside 2 that were really about the Gunja original on Neungdong-ro and a different tripe place in Jongno, and did not count 6 that were promos, lists or copied text.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Staff do all the grilling: 13 of the 19 meal posts say so, and one jokes that all you have to manage is the spattering fat. Four say the meat is par-grilled in the kitchen first, with a bean-sprout soup served while you wait. Several mention staff topping up the chives on request. Two warn that the fat spits a lot.
- Of the 7 posts that mention waiting, 5 were seated straight away: Tuesday at 9 pm, a weeknight after 9, early Friday evening, and 5 pm; one contrasts it with the brutal queues at the Gunja original. One waited about 10 minutes at 7 pm on a Friday, and one walked in at 6:30 on a Friday but saw a team or two waiting on the way out.
- Six posts call the room roomy: one counts about 30 tables, another notes wide gaps between them, and a third mentions three or so four-seat tables by the windows. One says the spacing beats the Gunja branch. One group of four did find the table crowded once the free soup arrived.
- One post says orders go in two-portion steps, refills included; two others also regret not being able to add just one portion. No one says whether a solo diner can order a single portion.

Parking
1 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Free parking for five cars out front, plus a public lot 100 m away, appears in many posts, but nearly all of it is copied from the listing. Only one visitor writes in their own words that four or five cars fit out front, and no one says they actually parked there.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
3 posts say it is walkable from the station.
Getting inside
| Toilet inside | 2 of 19 posts |
|---|---|
| Separate restrooms | 1 of 19 posts |
No post says which floor it is on or whether there are stairs; the "1st floor" in the address is a registered value, not something anyone described.
No one mentions a step at the door or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. That means we don't know, not that it is impossible.
Two visitors say the restroom is inside the restaurant, and one adds that it is split by gender. Other posts' mentions of separate restrooms are copied from the listing.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 25 posts we gathered, 6 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
| 2026-10-04 | 2 posts in one day |
|---|
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- One post booked through Naver. The booking perk has changed: the March 2025 listing offered two drinks or a fried rice, while posts from August and September 2026 got a seafood soup worth 15,000 won. Five posts give the same phone number, 0507-1471-9320, but none mention booking by phone.
- Opening hours: all seven meal posts that list them say daily 12:00 to midnight, mostly copied from the listing. Last orders at 23:00 appear only in one owner-sourced promo post, and no post mentions a closing day.
- Prices are consistent across posts: 28,000 won per mixed-grill portion, 3,000 won for fried rice, 5,000 won for soju, so two portions plus fried rice for two comes to about 62,000 won. One post calls the price a bit steep.
- One post repeats another word for word in the same template, so we did not count it as a visit. One post (February 2025) was a hosted review; it too only says staff did the grilling.
