Pizzeria O

핏제리아오 Pitjeria O Pizzeria is the Italian word for a pizza shop, and O is the house's own letter; none of the posts explains what the O stands for.

Compiled from 24 blog posts read in fullSources →

A Neapolitan wood-fired pizza and pasta house on the second and third floors of a red-brick building at Dongsung-gil 86, near Hyehwa Station in Daehangno. Pizzas come out of a large oak-fired oven by the entrance and run from 20,900 won (margherita with buffalo mozzarella) to 29,900 won (the star-shaped Stella); pastas are 19,900–32,900 won. The most common order is one pizza and one pasta for two with a Stella draught, and cheese is grated over both at the table. We read 30 posts dated 4 August to 28 October 2026; 26 describe an actual visit (two were about other restaurants and two only listed the place). Of those 26, 3 disclose sponsorship, 11 say they paid themselves and 12 say nothing.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Expect to wait at mealtimes. Eleven posts found people ahead of them: 9 groups at 6:30 on a weekday evening, 7 groups at 5 pm on a Sunday, 5 groups on a weekend evening, 4 groups at 1 pm on a Sunday (a call came 20–30 minutes later), and one party of five-groups-ahead that got in after 15 minutes. Two posts waited 7 and 10 minutes even with a booking, and one writer had once given up at more than 70 groups. You queue on the Tabling kiosk at the door, or remotely.
  2. Twelve posts mention a seated waiting area by the door at the top of the stairs; one called it a place to wait comfortably whatever the weather.
  3. Nine posts went with a booking and mostly walked straight in or waited a few minutes. Many copy the house rules: Naver bookings up to four people, larger groups and same-day bookings by phone, and no choosing your table.
  4. Fifteen posts mention the second-floor terrace under a yellow-striped awning: red-check tablecloths, yellow chairs, joined to the dining room so it never feels fully outdoors, with a few seats in strong sun. Some sat out there; others found it full even on a weekday evening and ended up inside. A booking does not let you choose a table.
5 more
  1. Some pastas have heat. Eight posts called something spicy — the arrabbiata, the puttanesca, the gamberi rosé and the jalapeños in the champion fries — mostly as a light kick. One post found the seafood pasta milder than its two chilli marks.
  2. Seven posts describe walls and stairs covered in celebrity signatures, photos and certificates. The contest wins, VERA PIZZA certification and Blue Ribbons are the house's own display, which posts copy; we did not count them.
  3. Five posts mention review rewards — truffle fries, a free soft drink, or a dessert pizza for reviewing on three sites. A late-September post thought the fries offer had ended, but posts on 12 and 26 October still describe it. Two Stella draughts for 15,000 won and a prepaid-credit bonus also appear in posts from late September and October.
  4. Six posts are by returning customers: one has come since their twenties, one has been about five times and always orders the ragù, one has eaten here since before the restaurant moved to this address.
  5. It is a walk from Hyehwa Station: four posts describe four minutes from Exit 1, or a short uphill walk past the theatres from Exit 2.

The prices here are what bloggers wrote down in their posts, and they may have changed since. Check Naver Place for the current menu and prices. This list is not a menu board — it counts what bloggers actually ordered and ate. Check on Naver Place

Getting inside

Second floor15 of 24 posts
Toilet inside6 of 24 posts
Separate restrooms4 of 24 posts

The entrance is on the building's second floor, up an outside staircase on the left; fifteen posts say the restaurant uses the second and third floors. The oven and terrace are on the second; the third has big group tables and booth-like nooks under a high, chandeliered ceiling, and is described as calmer and darker. One post says the whole third floor is for bookings.

No post puts it underground. Fifteen posts describe the second and third floors, while the registered address says first and second floors; one post says only the ground floor belongs to another business.

Many posts say the entrance is up an outdoor staircase on the second floor, but nobody mentions a lift, a ramp, or getting in with a wheelchair or pram. That means we do not know, not that there is none.

Six posts say the toilets are inside the restaurant, four of them that they are separate for men and women. Some place them on the third floor and some on the second, apparently because a few writers count the entrance level as the first floor.

No one mentioned: In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 26 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Twenty-three visit posts give opening hours, mostly copied: 20 say daily 11:30–22:00 and 19 give last orders at 21:00. One says it opens at 11:00, one at 13:00, and one that it closes at 21:00. Three say it never closes, and one says there is no afternoon break.
  • For two, a pizza, a pasta and drinks come to roughly 50,000–60,000 won. One post gives 25,900 won for the O pizza and 23,000 won for the gamberi rosé where others say 22,900 and 23,900; we cannot tell whether that is a price change or a typo. Two posts called the prices reasonable.
  • Most posts list 0507-1429-5005; some give 02-3673-5005. Several copy the note that groups of five or more and same-day bookings must be made by phone.
  • One post says the writer came here before the restaurant moved to this address, but nobody says when or from where. Nothing changed within the period we read.
  • Three posts disclose a free meal and two pasted in a review-count widget. Two list posts — a dating-app promotion and a theatre guide — only name the restaurant, and we did not count them.
