Geumttukkeong
금뚜껑 Geum-ttukkeong means 'gold lid' — a play on sotttukkeong, the cast-iron pot lid the house uses as its grill plate.

An aged-pork grill house on a corner off the main Sungshin Women's University strip, about five minutes' walk from exit 1 of Sungshin Women's Univ. station. Antibiotic-free aged pork belly is 15,900 won per 150 g, and you cook it yourself on a cast-iron pot-lid grill (the 'lid' in the name) alongside minari, bean sprouts and aged kimchi. Steamed egg comes free with meat, and there is self-serve soft ice cream on the way out. October 2026 posts give Mon–Thu from 16:30, Fri–Sat from 12:00, closed Sundays; earlier posts had weekday 15:30–22:00 and Sunday opening. We read 14 posts from November 2024 to October 2026; 12 describe an actual visit.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- You grill your own meat. Four posts say staff lay the first round on the grill and then leave the cooking to you; one reviewer called that the biggest drawback at 15,900 won a portion, and another's boyfriend did the grilling. A single post describes someone flipping the meat expertly, but it is unclear whether that was staff.
- There are private rooms past the main hall, and groups use them. Five posts mention the rooms; one party of five booked on Naver the day before, asked for a room and got it. One post counts three rooms, another's info line says two.

Parking
6 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Unusually for this student area, you can park. Six posts mention parking in front of the shop, two of them putting it at about three cars. One suggests the Seongbuk-gu Office car park as overflow, noting two free hours at weekends.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
4 posts say it is walkable from the station.
Getting inside
No post describes the floor from experience; '1st floor' appears only in the registered address.
We don't know whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller gets in. One family came with a baby but said nothing about the entrance — that is silence, not a no.
We don't know where the toilets are. 'Separate men's and women's toilets' appears only in copied info lines in two posts; nobody described them first-hand.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 13 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Opening hours have changed. Posts from September 2025 to mid-April 2026 give weekdays 15:30–22:00 and Sat–Sun 12:00–22:00, last order 21:10. Four October 2026 posts give Mon–Thu 16:30–23:00, Fri–Sat 12:00–23:00, closed every Sunday, last order 22:20. One April 2026 post differs again (open till 23:00, weekends from 14:30). Most of these are copied info lines, so check before going.
- Prices are mostly consistent, with one outlier: three posts give 15,900 won for 150 g of belly, one December 2025 post 14,900 won. Two posts call it pricey for a student area. Rice with the stew is extra (1,500 won).
- Service reports split two to one: two posts found staff friendly, while one weekend group had to ask twice for refills, was ignored once, and never got the noodles included in their set.
- No post reports waiting. A Saturday-lunch visitor found just one other table and only guessed there might be a wait after 7 pm; another came here to avoid cherry-blossom crowds and had no wait. We do not know what peak evenings are like.
- Five posts landed within one week in October 2026, listing the clothes steamer, free egg, free ice cream and promotions in nearly the same order. None discloses sponsorship, but read them with that in mind. Two posts say they paid their own way.
- Six posts give the same phone number, 0507-1361-0997. One group booked through Naver reservations.
