Yeokjeon Udon 0410 Hongdae-ipgu-yeok-jeom

역전우동0410 홍대입구역점 Yeokjeon means 'in front of the station', so the name reads as station-front udon; none of the posts explain the number 0410.

Yeokjeon Udon 0410's Hongdae branch is a chain udon shop at 127-1 Eoulmadang-ro. You order at a kiosk and collect your tray when your number is called; plain udon is 4,500 won, fish-cake skewer udon 6,500 won and the smoky pork rice bowl 8,000 won (March 2026), so a meal stays under 10,000 won. The room is small, built mostly around a counter facing the kitchen, with a few tables at the back. We read 30 posts dated December 2025 to October 2026. We set aside 13 about Izakaya Musei, a different bar upstairs in the same building, and 5 about other branches or other places; 10 posts describe eating here.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Ordering is by kiosk; five posts said so. One compared it to a highway rest stop, since you pick up and return your own tray when your number is called. On a busy day in January 2026, one post said staff assigned seats after people ordered.
  2. Seating is mostly at the counter, but not only there. Five posts described both counter seats and tables, though they counted the tables differently: about three, about six two-seaters, or a four-person table. Three posts called the room small, and one said groups of three or more would struggle to find seats.
  3. Seven posts called it cheap. A September 2026 post ordered five items for two, two bowls of udon, two pieces of tempura and a mini rice bowl, for 19,500 won. One post said prices had gone up a little but gave no dates or figures. One minded paying extra for the spicy paste.
  4. Three posts said the food came quickly. One noted the noodles come out of a freezer and are boiled to order.
2 more
  1. Three posts mentioned many foreign customers, including one that queued behind them and one that saw mostly solo diners and foreigners on a weekday evening.
  2. Two posts ate on promotions: fish-cake skewer udon for 3,500 won with a mobile-carrier discount in March 2026, and for 3,000 won on a Theborn Korea promotion day in April. Promotions applied to dine-in only, and one post warned dates may differ by branch.

Getting inside

No post about this shop said which floor it is on. A post about the bar upstairs said the ground floor is Yeokjeon Udon, but we did not count another shop's post.

No one wrote about a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller, which means we don't know, not that there is none. The only clue is a March 2026 post by a door-repair company, which replaced the hinge on the tempered-glass front door because it was slamming shut too fast.

No post said whether there is a toilet inside or whether it is split by gender.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 11 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • One December 2025 post felt pushed to leave within the hour, saying staff asked to clear the bowl while food was still left, and said they would not return. No post described the staff as friendly.
  • Only one post mentioned queuing, in October 2026; an April post found it nearly empty around 5 p.m., and another said the weekday lunch crowd thinned out by about 2 p.m. No post said how many minutes they waited.
  • Only one post clearly said who they came with, a parent and daughter. No post clearly described going with friends, in a group, or alone, so we can't say who the place suits.
  • Five posts gave the hours as 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, two of them copied from listing info. No one mentioned a break, last order time, or closing day.
  • Only one post gave a phone number, 02-3144-0417. No post said whether reservations are taken.
  • Thirteen posts about Izakaya Musei, the bar upstairs at the same address, all from October 2026, were picked up as if they were about this shop. They order nearly the same dishes and mention the same complimentary sashimi, and one discloses sponsorship. They are about a different business, so we excluded them from every count on this page.
