A Thai restaurant on the ground floor of a side street behind the CGV Hongdae building, near exit 1 of Hongik University station. Pad thai, noodle soups, curries and som tam are ordered from a tablet or kiosk at the table. Prices written down from 2026 visits: noodle soup 10,000 won, pad thai 13,000 won, crab curry 32,000 won, set A for two 51,800 won. We read 30 posts from February 2025 to October 2026; 25 describe a visit. Two were about neighbouring businesses and three were listings or write-ups, so we did not count them.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Many of the customers are Thai. Nine posts said foreign or Thai diners were in the majority; two estimated it at about 80% and 75%. Several posts said the staff are Thai too, and one noted the ordering kiosk has a Thai-language option.
  2. Ordering is done on a tablet or kiosk at the table — eight posts describe it — and one says you pay at the counter on the way out. Each item has a photo and short description, though several writers said many names were unfamiliar.
  3. Five posts said portions are large: a 2,000-won side of rice that was generous, a set for two that one writer thought could feed three or four, and a large noodle soup that was roughly two servings.
  4. Sweetness comes up repeatedly: five posts called the food sweet, mostly the pad thai, and one found the curry too sweet. Five posts mentioned heat, but for specific dishes such as som tam, yen ta fo and the raw prawn dish.

  1. It is close to the station: seven posts walked from exit 1 of Hongik University station, giving one, four and under five minutes. Several writers came straight from a film at the CGV building next door.
  2. Four posts said food came quickly, one saying curry and noodles arrived within five minutes of ordering. One post found the rice dish fast but the pad thai slower.

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

From the station

It is close to the station: seven posts walked from exit 1 of Hongik University station, giving one, four and under five minutes. Several writers came straight from a film at the CGV building next door.

Getting inside

No visitor described the floor. The address says ground floor and one post mentions a café upstairs, but nobody said whether there are steps at the entrance.

No post said whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or pushchair can get in. That means we don't know, not that it isn't possible.

No one said where the toilet is. Separate men's and women's toilets appear only in copied info blocks in three posts; nobody described using them.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 23 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Waiting depends on timing: six posts were seated straight away (2 pm, weekday 5–6 pm, Monday before 6, Sunday 5 pm) and three saw a queue. One arrived at 6 pm on a Thursday and got the last table; a weekend visitor said there is no waiting area, so you stand at the door. No one recorded how long the wait was.
  • Opening hours have changed. A February 2025 post listed Mondays closed and 11:30–21:00 the rest of the week, and an August 2025 post also said closed Mondays. From November 2025 posts give 11:00–21:00, all 2026 posts say open daily, and one ate there on a Monday evening in September 2026. All these hours are copied from listings. Eight posts give a 15:30–16:30 break and one says 15:00–16:00; one says closing is 22:00 rather than 21:00. Last order is 20:30.
  • Prices vary by dish. Three posts called it good value since most noodle and rice dishes are just over 10,000 won, and one table of several paid around 70,000 won. The crab curry, though, is 27,000 won on the copied shop listing but 32,000 won in two September 2026 posts, one of which said it pushed the bill up sharply. We can't tell when the price rose.
  • Service is split one to one: one post called the mostly Thai staff friendly, another said dishes were set down without a word and it didn't feel friendly.
  • The phone number 0507-1362-1054 appears in copied info blocks in six posts, and 'reservations available' only in such blocks; no one described actually booking by phone.
  • In August 2026 two posts said soft-shell crab was temporarily unavailable, so the crab curry was made with shrimp instead; September posts had the crab version again. One May 2026 post was a template built from map-listing data, so we did not count it.
