중경식객 Junggyeong is the Korean reading of Chongqing, the Chinese city famous for hotpot, and sikgaek means a guest who comes to eat.

An all-you-can-eat hotpot place on the second floor of a building on Hongik-ro 6-gil, a block from exits 8 and 9 of Hongik University Station. You pick a broth, order by QR code, then fill up on beef, pork, lamb, vegetables and noodles from the self bar; soft-serve is free. Weekday lunch (until 3 pm) is 16,800 won, dinner and weekends 19,800 won, a two-person set 49,900 won, and drinks 1,000 won a can. We read 30 posts from January 2025 to October 2026. We set aside 8 that were about the Konkuk or Magongnaru branches of the same name or about other restaurants, did not count one list post, and counted 21 first-hand visits.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Expect to wait. Nine posts waited and two walked straight in (a weekday lunch and a weekday dinner). The waits they wrote down were 15, 20, 20 and 20 minutes, plus one hour on a weekend at 3 pm. One post waited 20 minutes at 6:30 on a weekday evening but saw empty tables after 7:30. Two posts say you take a number at the counter and lose your turn if you are not there when called.
- Because the room is upstairs, the queue forms at the door. Two posts mention chairs or a waiting area there; one found it hard going outside on a hot day.
- The room is small: six posts called it cramped or not large, and none said otherwise. Tables are mostly four-seaters; one post saw a party of five add a chair at the end.
- Six posts ordered through the QR code at the table. Cutlery, aprons, drinks and broth refills are self-service too.
3 more
- Three posts got a free drink, shrimp balls or peach iced tea through the receipt-review event.
- Five posts called it clean, mostly about the self bar and sauce station. One post noted the fried rice on the bar was left uncovered and had gone stiff.
- Two posts give a 90-minute limit; one adds a 5,000-won charge for leaving food uneaten.

Assume no parking. Two posts say there is no lot of its own; one driver prepaid the LG Palace car park next door through an app. Other posts' 'no parking' lines are copied listing text.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| Second floor | 7 of 19 posts |
|---|---|
| Toilet inside | 2 of 19 posts |
| Separate restrooms | yes 0 · no 2 (of 19 posts read) |
Seven posts say it is on the second floor, but none say whether you climb stairs or take a lift, or whether there is a step at the door. That means unknown, not absent.
Two posts put the toilet inside the restaurant, and two say it is unisex (one found that a little inconvenient).
No one mentioned: In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 20 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Prices have gone up: weekday lunch was 15,800 won in a December 2025 post and 16,800 won in posts from June 2026 on. Dinner/weekend (19,800 won) and the two-person set (49,900 won) match across posts.
- Friends come up most (eight posts), then couples (two), family (two) and groups of four or more (two). One post brought children (14 and 12) and was told 13-year-olds pay the adult price.
- Eleven posts give the hours as 11:30 to 22:30; one says weekdays 11:30 to 22:20. Most are copied from the listing, and no post mentions a closing day. Lunch pricing runs until 3 pm.
- Seven posts give the phone number 0507-1371-5865. None mention reservations; one says you can join the queue through the Tabling app, and one called ahead on a Friday evening and was told to come straight over.
- Posts about the Konkuk (Dongil-ro 20-gil 109) and Magongnaru branches of the same name were removed; a complaint about being rushed out early refers to the Konkuk branch, not this one.
