Ilsim Jangeo is a freshwater-eel grill at 219 Donggyo-ro, ground floor, on the street that runs from Hongik Univ. Station exit 3 toward the Yeonnam police box. It sells one thing, Pungcheon japonica eel: 45,000 won for a large, 63,000 won for an extra-large, or 110,000 won for the two-person set (one of each plus yeolmu kimchi noodles). The eel is par-grilled over a fire near the entrance, then finished by staff over charcoal at your table, with eel soup, toasted laver and mushrooms on the side. Ten said the portion was large; one thought the two-person set could feed three. Claims like antibiotic-free, farm-direct and 55-58 cm come from the restaurant's own copy, so we do not count them.
- You order on a tablet or kiosk at the table, according to nine posts; one added that extra side dishes are requested the same way. Four posts mentioned getting refills of sides, laver or mushrooms.

Nobody mentioned steps or thresholds at the entrance, or whether a wheelchair or stroller gets in. One post noted it is on the ground floor, and one family visited with two toddlers.
No post says whether the restroom is inside or separated by gender; one only noted that the kiosk shows restroom directions.

What we do not know
- Opening hours changed. Posts up to 5 February 2026 gave a noon opening with a 15:30-16:30 weekday break; posts from 15 February on give 11:30, closing at 22:00 Monday to Thursday and 22:30 Friday to Sunday. Only one of three later posts still mentions the break, so we cannot say whether it continues. Closing times also vary between 22:00 and 22:30, and most of these figures are copied info blocks.
- No post describes queueing — which means nobody wrote about it, not that there is never a wait. One post found free tables at 5:30 pm, one noted a waiting area, and several said the room was full even on weekday evenings.
- One post said there are no high chairs, and none said otherwise.
- Eighteen visit posts cluster between 29 November 2025 and 12 January 2026 and share the same keyword, the same 'here is your raw eel' scene, the restaurant's own promotional copy and a closing Naver Place link.
