Compiled from 11 blog posts read in fullSources →

A udon and ramen counter on the ground floor at 111 Eoulmadang-ro, on Hongdae's busking street. You carry a tray, call out your main, get your noodles straight away, then slide along picking tempura and rice balls before paying once at the end; scallions, pickled radish, tempura bits and wasabi are self-serve. Udon runs 6,500-8,900 won and tempura 2,000-2,600 won a piece; posts report 27,900 won and 'low 30,000s' for two, and 15,400 won for one. We read 12 posts from October 2024 to September 2026, all of them first-hand visits.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Six posts said the tempura was crisp, shrimp 'crisp right to the tail', croquette crisp outside and moist inside. One noted the tempura is made ahead, and one found everything but the shrimp greasy.
  2. Seating is mostly two-person tables. Of the four posts that described seating, two said there are many two-tops. Space is disputed: two posts found it cramped, one (October 2024) said there was room between seats. Two posts said staff tell you to grab a seat first.
  3. Three posts called it good value, one said the tempura is pricey next to the udon, and one stayed undecided, noting add-ons push the bill up. What you pay depends on how much tempura you pile on.
  4. Of the posts that ate the spicy tonkotsu ramen, two found it pleasantly hot and one said it's milder than Shin Ramyun.

From the station

Getting inside

The address says ground floor, but no post described the floor or any stairs from experience.

Nobody wrote about a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. That means we don't know, not that there's no issue.

No post says whether the restroom is inside; one post copied a listing that says it's split by gender.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know

  • Prices have risen. In October 2024 chicken thigh tempura was 2,400 won, squid 1,800 and spicy ramen 9,500; by November 2025 the chicken was 2,600 and the ramen 9,800, and squid was 2,300 by September 2026. Fish-cake udon was 7,900 won through April 2026 and 8,500 in September.
  • Hours have changed. Posts through October 2025 list an 11:00 opening with later closing on Fridays and Saturdays (23:30 in 2024, 22:30 in October 2025); four posts from November 2025 on agree on 10:30-21:30 daily, last order 21:00. Most of these were copied from listings.
  • Opinions split on the udon noodles: four posts called them chewy or springy, two (January and March 2026) found them soggy. The January post also disliked the sweet broth.
  • One January 2026 post found sticky tables and no sneeze guard over the toppings line, and said staff did nothing when broth spilled over the tray. No other post commented on cleanliness or service.
  • Only one post mentions a wait, a weekend lunch in April 2025 where the line moved fast. Others don't mention waiting. Two posts said food comes out quickly.
  • Three posts went as a couple and one went alone. None went with friends, family or children, so we can't say how it works for those.
  • Three posts list the phone number 02-3144-3767, but none says whether reservations are taken.
  • One post says the name changed at some point while the food stayed the same, and another saw a wall frame dating the place to 2014. We don't know the earlier name or when it changed.
