Eunhaenggol Hongdae Station branch is a red-signed sushi house on Eoulmadang-ro, behind Exit 8 of Hongik University Station. It serves 12-piece mixed and single-fish sushi plates plus bluefin tuna sashimi by the cut. Posts from 2026 list the mi plate at 13,000 won, the teukseon and seon plates at 17,000 and half flounder/half salmon at 19,000; a July 2025 post lists the jin plate at 22,000 and the special toro plate at 39,000. You order on your phone from a QR or tag on the table, and free udon comes out first. Three posts warn that a separate 'Hongdae branch' sits near Sangsu Station. What we do not know
- Accounts of the room differ: four posts call it roomy with well-spaced tables, one says it is not large, and one says the hall is small but the tables are spread out. Two posts noted many foreign customers.
- Five posts say the rice is packed loosely and falls apart easily. Some like that it melts in the mouth, and one diner used a spoon. Others did not: one says the egg sushi lost its shape entirely, and one found the rice crumbling on a first visit right at opening but fine on the second.
- One post found a strong fishy smell on entering, while noting the dishes were spotless and still warm from washing. No other post mentions a smell.
- No post describes waiting. Two say they were seated right away — just before a weekend lunch, and at a weekday lunch with one other party. Nobody wrote about evenings, so we don't know.
