dot blanket
도트블랭킷 Doteu Beullaenkit Dot Blanket: the cafe's tagline is 'Like a Warm Blanket On a Rainy Day', and its open sandwiches on sourdough are called blankets.
Compiled from 26 blog posts read in fullSources →
Dot Blanket's Yeonnam branch is a brunch cafe on the second floor of a building a few minutes' walk from Hongik University Station exit 3, along the Gyeongui Line Forest Park; many posts say there's a Photoism booth on the ground floor. You scan a QR code at your table for the menu, then order and pay at the counter and get a buzzer. The most-ordered dish is the avocado pasta salad (16,500 won), eaten in 18 posts, followed by the cream pasta (19,500), scallop aglio olio (21,000) and guacamole shrimp blanket (14,000). Six posts shared the signature date set (55,900 won). Eight posts went with friends, five with a partner, two alone. We read 30 posts from March to October 2026; 27 are first-hand visits. One was about the Anguk branch and was set aside; two only introduced the place and weren't counted.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- People come for the windows. Sixteen posts mention them: from the second floor you look out on the trees of the forest park, and on fine days the windows are opened wide. The window seats are a bar counter, several writers found them all taken, and one chose an inside table because the bar stools looked uncomfortable.
- Many writers booked. Ten posts mention a Naver reservation or reserved tables; one booked two weeks ahead, and another, who booked the day before, watched walk-in tourists leave because the room was full. Posts also mention a CatchTable waitlist kiosk at the door.
- It's close to the subway: fifteen posts describe walking from Hongik University Station exit 3, quoting anywhere from one to six minutes.
- Seven posts note the open kitchen behind the counter. There are Hanmac and Stella taps and wine; six posts mention beer, and some drank it at lunchtime.
2 more
- Six posts say writing a receipt or place review earns a keyring with the cafe's poodle mascot (one got a fan instead). Many also mention a wall of merchandise for sale: mugs, caps, postcards.
- Four posts saw many foreign customers, one estimating they were half the room; another notes the QR menu comes in English and Japanese.

Parking

Three posts state in their own words that there's no parking, pointing to a paid lot nearby (Hongik Ingan officetel); other mentions are copied from the listing. No one drove.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
It's close to the subway: fifteen posts describe walking from Hongik University Station exit 3, quoting anywhere from one to six minutes.

| In a basement | yes 0 · no 14 (of 26 posts read) |
| Lift to the floor | yes 0 · no 3 (of 26 posts read) |
| Toilet inside | yes 0 · no 2 (of 26 posts read) |
| Separate restrooms | yes 0 · no 1 (of 26 posts read) |
The cafe is upstairs: fourteen posts describe climbing to the second floor, and three say there's no elevator, only stairs.
We don't know whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in, or whether there's a step at the door; no one wrote about it. We only know there are stairs and no elevator.
Two posts say the restroom is outside the cafe, by the second-floor entrance, and two more just say 'at the entrance'. One says it's a single unisex room. Lines copied from the listing weren't counted.
No one mentioned: Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 28 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Waits vary. Four posts walked straight in (a weekday at 4:30 pm, a weekend at 11:30, a Sunday at noon, a weekday morning walk-in); two say they waited or that weekends and holidays mean a queue, including a Saturday at 11. Three got a table just before it filled up.
- Nineteen posts give opening hours, all copied from the listing. Seventeen say 9:30 am to 8 pm; one says 9 am and one 10 am. Fifteen give last order at 7 pm, one 7:30, one 5 pm. Two say there's no afternoon break.
- Prices went up once: the avocado pasta salad was 15,500 won on an April 2026 receipt and 16,500 won from May on. Two people with two mains and coffee typically paid 40,000 to 50,000 won. Two posts called the prices reasonable, one called them a bit high.
- Not a quiet room: one post found it crowded from opening and fairly noisy. No other post mentioned noise.
- One post was written after receiving a free meal voucher, and one is a nearby makeup studio promoting itself. Many posts list the same phone number (0507-1423-9337) and booking options, all copied from the listing.
