Donyuchang is a pork-intestine house at 188 Doksan-ro, Geumcheon-gu, right by the Doksan-dong Jeonghun Danji bus stop. The vegetable and roe-style intestine stir-fries cost the same, 11,000 won a portion, so most tables order one of each; the stir-fry comes out of the kitchen cooked, stays warm on the table burner, and ends with 2,000-won fried rice made in the leftover sauce. Grilled pork cuts such as pork belly (14,000 won for 160 g) are also on the menu. Regulars remember it as Doksan Gopchang at an older spot inside Jeonghun Danji before the move. We read 29 posts from October 2024 to October 2026; 25 of them describe an actual meal.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.

What sets it apart

  1. The room is large. Of the 14 posts that talked about the space, 12 called it big or full of tables; one wrote that the place is not that big. One couple took a partitioned corner seat by the window.
  2. One woman runs the whole floor. Three posts said food was slow to arrive and a fourth said they waited a bit but not long. Four posts mention the single server looking overstretched, and two diners fetched extra side dishes themselves. One writer advises ordering the steamed egg early because it takes a while.
  3. Six posts said the portions are large. One diner thought the shallow pan looked small for two portions and nearly ordered a third, then found it plenty; even a single portion of fried rice was called big.
  4. Many writers are long-time regulars: nine posts describe going back or years of visits, including one regular of more than ten years and another since school days.
3 more
  1. All five posts that mentioned off-odour said the intestines had none. Many posts note the same starters: bean-sprout soup, a tangy mayo-like dipping sauce and young-radish kimchi.
  2. Two writers came by bus. One said the restaurant is right in front of the stop, and about a 25-minute walk from exit 1 of Doksan Station; the other said the sign is visible a short walk from the bus.
  3. Three posts mention a big TV: football always on, the Korean Series playing during one dinner, and a large screen in the middle of the room.

Where it is

Map showing where Donyuchang is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

From the station

Two writers came by bus. One said the restaurant is right in front of the stop, and about a 25-minute walk from exit 1 of Doksan Station; the other said the sign is visible a short walk from the bus.

Getting inside

Step at the entrance1 of 24 posts
Toilet inside1 of 24 posts

Nobody said which floor the dining room is on or whether there are steps; one post only calls it a stand-alone building.

No one wrote about entering with a wheelchair or stroller. One post warns of a high ledge on the floor that kept tripping them up; it is unclear whether that is at the door or inside.

Only one post described the restroom: inside, through a storeroom-like space, and clean. Separate men's and women's rooms appear only in copied listing info, which we did not count.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 26 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • The move looks to have happened around 2018: an April 2026 post says it moved here about eight years ago, and three regulars remember the old name and the earlier spot inside Jeonghun Danji. Every post we read is about the current location.
  • Heat level is disputed: five posts called it spicy, one said it was not.
  • No post describes queuing; one diner arrived early and was first in. That means nobody wrote about a wait, not that there never is one.
  • Thirteen posts gave opening hours, all copied from listings. Three from February–March 2025 say it opens at 2 pm; ten from May 2025 on say 2:30 pm. All thirteen agree on closing at 1 am and closing on Tuesdays.
  • Prices held at 11,000 won per intestine portion from February 2025 to July 2026, so two portions plus fried rice come to 24,000 won. One August 2025 post listed grilled large intestine at 11,000 won and steamed egg at 5,000 won; the others say 13,000 and 3,000.
  • The phone number 02-808-0288 is copied across many posts. Nobody said whether reservations are taken; one diner noticed a lot of phone orders for takeaway.
  • One listicle claimed 9,000 won a portion and hours of 2 pm to 2 am, but shows no sign of a visit and contradicts every other post, so we left it out.
