Sushi Doku
스시도쿠 Sushi is the Japanese dish; none of the posts explains what 'Doku' means.

A sushi chain branch on the 10th-floor restaurant level of Hyundai Department Store Sinchon. The draw is a set tray: nine to twelve pieces of sushi, eight small kaiseki dishes (chawanmushi, tempura, braised lotus root) and a beef sukiyaki pot simmered on an induction plate at the table, priced from 19,900 to 47,900 won. The 37,900-won 20-item set and the 33,900-won 19-item set were each ordered in nine posts. Soy sauce is brushed on with a silicone brush rather than dipped. We read 30 posts dated 15 February to 16 October 2026; two were about other restaurants and two only introduced the place, leaving 26 first-hand visits.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- You order from a tablet at the table; eleven posts said so. The set names count their dishes ('19-item', '20-item'), but one post noted each item shows photos and contents. Five posts pointed out that udon noodles for the sukiyaki are listed at zero won.
- Fifteen posts said the tables are well spaced. Nine mentioned window seats: city lights at dinner, and sun strong enough at lunch that the blinds were down. One post warned that window tables go fast.
- Four posts saw high chairs, and two went with children (one with a seven-year-old). There is a kids' pork-cutlet set.
- Seven posts went with friends, five with a partner, three with family, one with a group of colleagues. None ate alone, though one noticed solo diners.
4 more
- Seven posts were repeat visits — one first came two years earlier, another six months before, and one regular got a complimentary dish from the chef.
- It is a chain: three posts had eaten at other branches first (Wangsimni, Magok), and one judged this branch the best of them.
- Four posts waited or saw a queue: a weekend arrival at 5 pm saw a line form by 5:30; a holiday opening-time visit saw the room fill and a queue start; one saw the line grow outside mid-meal (from the templated group); one said peak hours need a wait. Late-lunch and weekday-opening visits found it quiet. One post noted a long row of waiting chairs. Nobody gave a waiting time in minutes.
- Six posts said the kitchen is open and you can watch the sushi being made.

Parking

Two posts drove and described parking: one said the garage connects straight into the store, another that it is the one place in Sinchon they never worry about parking. 'Two hours free when dining, then 1,000 won per 10 minutes' is copied listing text that we could not verify.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 3 (of 26 posts read) |
|---|---|
| Lift to the floor | 3 of 26 posts |
| Toilet inside | yes 0 · no 2 (of 26 posts read) |
| Separate restrooms | 1 of 26 posts |
Not a basement: it is on the 10th floor, and three posts described going up by lift or escalator.
Nobody wrote whether the entrance has a step or whether they got a wheelchair or stroller inside — unknown, not absent. One post only guessed the restaurant floor would be manageable in a wheelchair. Three posts took the lift to the 10th floor; one counted six or seven lifts.
Toilets are the department store's, outside the restaurant: two posts placed them out on the floor (both from the templated group); two others only said the store's restrooms were clean. One post said they are separated by sex.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 28 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Two posts actually came by subway: one said it is a short walk, another that exit 2 of Sinchon Station is closer than the exit 1 shown on maps. The repeated '153 m from exit 1' is copied listing text. Nobody wrote about buses.
- Two posts booked ahead and were seated by the window straight away. Most gave the phone number 0507-1407-0773; two gave 02-3145-2096. Booking channels conflict: one post listed Naver, Catchtable and phone, another said phone only.
- Twenty-four posts gave the same hours, 10:30 to 21:00 daily, closed on the department store's regular closing days — mostly copied from the listing. Thirteen gave last order as 20:15, one as 20:30. Two noted there is no afternoon break.
- Prices were steady from February to October; a meal is one set plus a drink, roughly 25,000 to 50,000 won a head. Only one April post gave a different price for the basic sushi-and-sukiyaki set (23,900 against 25,900 in four other posts). One post called it not cheap; another called it a bargain at around 30,000 won.
- Four posts disclosed sponsorship, four proved they paid with a receipt, and eighteen said nothing. Nearly every post mentions the entrance prize draw (a free piece for adding the KakaoTalk channel) and the receipt-review freebie. Four posts (February, May, July) share stock phrases and look like commissioned copy; we counted what they experienced but flag them here.
