Bar

POCHAB

포차비 Pochabi Pocha is short for pojangmacha, the Korean tent bar; the posts do not explain the rest of the name.

Compiled from 22 blog posts read in fullSources →

Pochabi is a highball bar on the ground floor of the Yurim Building, down an alley off Yonsei-ro 7an-gil in Sinchon. Posts keep returning to the same numbers: 4,500-won highballs, a 9,900-won flight of four, and 1,900-won draft beer, with food such as wood-fired pizza, rosé pasta, sukiyaki hot pot and yuringi mostly in the 10,000-won range. Many mention glasses set on lit coasters. We read 23 posts from October 2024 to October 2026; 22 describe an actual visit. Two say they paid their own way; the rest do not say whether they were sponsored.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. No post calls it expensive; 20 say it is cheap. Prices written down include 4,500 won for a highball, 9,900 for the flight, 11,900 for the cheese pizza, 13,900 for the rosé steak pasta and 18,900 for the beef sukiyaki. One post notes that no dish cost more than 20,000 won.
  2. Ten posts say a bowl of purple sweet-potato chips arrives free when you sit down. One says the bowl was refilled after they finished it.
  3. Eight posts say it is bigger inside than it looks, and several describe a group area set back from the main hall. A wedding after-party that booked it counted room for up to 22 including a ten-seat table at the back; another post guessed the inner area alone holds 20 to 30.
  4. Two posts call the inner group area a room or a separate space; one says it is only partly separated from the hall. Nobody says whether it has a door.

  1. Eight posts describe walking from the station, putting it 5 to 10 minutes from Sinchon Station. Several note that it sits down an alley rather than on the main road.
  2. Twelve posts call the staff friendly, some with specifics: answering questions about the highballs, clearing plates and topping up water, bringing ice straight away.
  3. Seven posts found the portions generous, mentioning plates piled full, a hot pot with five fish-cake skewers, and a nabe that was plenty for two.

Posts saying you cannot1 of 22 posts

Two posts deal with parking firsthand. The wedding after-party says there is no lot, so friends parked at nearby Yonsei University; another says space is tight. Several other posts list no parking, but they copied that from the listing.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 3 (of 22 posts read)
Toilet inside4 of 22 posts
Separate restrooms5 of 22 posts

No post says from experience whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or pushchair gets in. Two posts list it as wheelchair accessible, but they copied that from the Naver listing, so we did not count it. Three posts say firsthand that it is on the ground floor.

Five posts say firsthand that the toilets are separate for men and women, and four that they are inside the bar. Several also mention that they are clean.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 23 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Accounts of noise differ: five posts call it quiet or not loud, two call it boisterous, and two say it is neither. The boisterous reports came from visits when large groups were in.
  • No post mentions waiting for a table. Some say the place was full on a weekday evening, but nobody says whether they queued. That means we do not know, not that there is no wait.
  • We do not know whether service is slow. One post says they were told highballs would take about 30 minutes once it got busy, but that was hearsay, so we did not count it.
  • For opening hours, fifteen posts agree on daily from 5 pm to 2 am, mostly copied from Naver. One says 3 am, and one, also copying Naver Map, says 10 pm. One post adds a Sunday closure but also says daily, and another post visited on a Sunday evening, so we did not treat it as closed on Sundays. Only one post gives a last order time (1 am).
  • Prices shift a little over time. The beef-and-seafood jjamppong broth was 13,900 won in October 2024 and February 2026, and 14,900 in October 2026. The basil gnocchi went from 12,900 won in April 2026 to 13,900 on a May receipt. One post lists the cheese pizza at 10,900 won while three say 11,900. Check current prices on site.
  • Many posts give the same phone number, 0507-1393-3154. Only one post says they booked ahead, for a group, so we do not know whether small parties can reserve.
  • Most 2026 posts repeat the same search phrases (cheap Sinchon bar, Sinchon bar with atmosphere) in titles and text, and six carry the same six hashtags in the same order. None discloses sponsorship, but only two say they paid. We counted posts as visits when they record what was ordered and what it cost.
