Jukhae Susan
죽해수산 Jukhae can be read as 竹蟹, 'bamboo crab', the Sino-Korean name for the snow crab whose jointed legs look like bamboo, and susan means seafood; one blogger guessed that is where the name comes from.

A snow crab course restaurant on Yonsei-ro 5-gil, across from the Hyundai Department Store Sinchon car park near exit 1 of Sinchon station. Posts describe a small door beside an Isaac Toast shop leading down a long passage lined with tanks before you reach the dining room. Nearly everyone orders the per-person Jukhae Jeongsik: side dishes with kimchi pancake and fried shrimp, steamed scallops, tuna and lobster sashimi, snow crab and lobster steamed and cut open for you, rice mixed in the crab shell, and lobster ramyeon. It costs 90,000, 95,000 or 100,000 won per person depending on crab size, with a two-portion minimum. We read 30 posts from July 2025 to October 2026; 28 describe an actual visit.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.
What sets it apart
- This is a place you book. Of the 28 visits, 13 posts say they booked or tell you to. Two posts say the restaurant calls ahead to confirm which course you want, because the crab takes time to steam. One adds that you can arrive early but should never be late.
- Opinions on size split. Four posts call it roomy, six say it is small, with lines like 'the hall isn't big' and 'it's cramped inside'. Three of the four roomy verdicts count both floors together. One of the six says to book because there are not many tables.
- Most posts think it is fair for what you get. Fourteen use words like 'good value' or 'reasonable price', two say it is on the pricey side or something you save up for, and two say it is not cheap but justified. One post paid 289,000 won for three medium courses and two colas.
- Most people come by subway. Twelve posts say they walked from Sinchon station or that it is close, mostly two or three minutes from exit 1. Some say they left the car and took the train.
1 more
- Five posts went with family, five as a couple, three with friends and three in a larger group. Two brought children and said the crab comes cut open, so kids could pick the meat out themselves. Many posts recommend it for work dinners, but few actually went as one.

Parking

There is no parking of its own. Five posts say there is nowhere to park and point to the Hyundai Department Store car park or a nearby paid public lot. One post says parking at the department store is convenient, without saying more.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
Most people come by subway. Twelve posts say they walked from Sinchon station or that it is close, mostly two or three minutes from exit 1. Some say they left the car and took the train.
Getting inside
| Second floor | 10 of 27 posts |
|---|---|
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 1 (of 27 posts read) |
| Toilet inside | 1 of 27 posts |
There are two floors. Ten posts mention the upstairs room and three of them say it is floor seating. Two posts booked for 5 pm and 7:30 pm on a weekday, found the ground floor full and were sent upstairs. One notes there is no staff stationed upstairs, so you help yourself to drinks, cutlery and water. One post says they ate on the ground floor.
No one wrote about a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in; that means we don't know, not that it is impossible. Several posts do say the way in is a small door and then a long narrow passage lined with tanks.
Only one post says from experience that the toilet is inside the restaurant. No one mentioned whether it is separated by gender or how big it is.
No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 29 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- We know little about waiting. One post actually waited: fully booked, they were told 20 minutes and sat down around 8 pm. Claims that evenings have a queue or that walk-ins wait a long time are hearsay, so we did not count them.
- Opening hours differ between posts. Nearly all agree it opens at noon with a 3 to 5 pm break, but 13 posts say it closes at 10 pm, nine at 9:30 pm and one at 9 pm. Nine say Sundays end at 9 pm, four say it closes on Lunar New Year and Chuseok, and one gives last orders at 8 pm. Most of this is copied from listings, so check before you go.
- Throughout 2026 posts give the same prices for the course: 90,000, 95,000 and 100,000 won by size, and a July 2025 post also paid 95,000 for medium. Two people should expect 180,000 to 200,000 won before drinks. Two posts note prices may move with the market.
- Almost every post gives the phone number as 02-332-9485; one has 02-322-9485. Posts say bookings go through Naver and are then confirmed by phone with the restaurant.
- Two posts published on the same day in May 2026 share the same phrases and order, so they look like the same commissioned script. A cluster of July 2026 posts also follows a similar pattern built around the TV show appearance and 'work dinner spot', and none disclose sponsorship. Six posts say they paid themselves.
