Jejudon 1848

제주돈1848 Jeju-don means 'Jeju pork' - the house sells pork it says comes from Jeju Island; none of the posts explain the number 1848.

Compiled from 22 blog posts read in fullSources →

A charcoal-grill pork house down an alley off Myeongmul-gil, a short walk from Sinchon Station exit 3, selling pork it advertises as coming from Jeju. The usual order is the Modum B platter (pork belly, neck and jowl), then beef rib-finger meat, then kimchi arrowroot naengmyeon to finish. The most recent post (Sep 2026) gives 16,000 won for 180 g of pork belly and 37,000 won for the 400 g platter for two. Nineteen posts say a doenjang stew comes free with the meat. We read 22 posts, from December 2024 to October 2026, all of them first-hand visits.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Twelve posts mention a separate private room; three say it is floor seating, one recalling the heated floor. Many posts mention tables from four up to eight seats and recommend the place for group dinners.
  2. Who does the grilling varies. Four posts say the meat arrives pre-grilled. Three say the owner grilled or turned it for them, one says the owner cuts it when not busy, and two grilled it themselves, one finding the charcoal hard to manage.
  3. Three posts say they asked for the rinsed aged kimchi again and again; one counted four refills.
  4. Ten posts say it is an easy walk from the station; two put it at five minutes from Sinchon Station exit 3, and one says to turn into the alley by the Daiso.

  1. Eighteen posts say it is not expensive, mostly on the grounds that Jeju pork costs about what ordinary pork does elsewhere.

Parking

12 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Posts saying you can park12 of 22 posts

Twelve posts say you can park in front, but all of them are template posts. Two describe a friend actually parking there, and one says there is room for only a few cars. One post outside the template says the lot is very cramped and suggests coming on foot.

Where it is

Map showing where Jejudon 1848 is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

From the station

Ten posts say it is an easy walk from the station; two put it at five minutes from Sinchon Station exit 3, and one says to turn into the alley by the Daiso.

Getting inside

No post says which floor the restaurant is on or whether there are stairs. That does not mean it is at street level, only that nobody wrote it down.

We do not know whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in; nobody mentioned it.

We do not know whether the toilet is inside or separated by gender; no post mentions it.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know

  • Fourteen of the 22 posts follow one template: an address, hours and phone block, then numbered sections on location and parking, interior, menu, side dishes, the platter, beef ribs and naengmyeon. Three pairs are almost word for word the same, yet only one of the fourteen says it was paid. Claims such as same-day air delivery from Jeju, A+ grade and low-temperature ageing are the shop's own words repeated, so we did not count them.
  • No post describes waiting. Five say they were seated at once or the room was quiet (two of them in identical words); one warns it gets busy but went right at the 4 pm opening. Four mention an outdoor waiting bench.
  • Seven posts went with friends. Only one each went with family and a child, with a partner, or as a work dinner, so we cannot say much about those occasions.
  • Eighteen posts give the same opening hours, 4 pm to midnight daily, though mostly in copied info blocks. Two say there is no closing day; there is no lunch service.
  • Prices vary a little: four posts give 16,000 won for a portion of pork belly (May 2025 to Sep 2026) and two give 15,000 won (May 2025, Jan 2026), so the split is not a matter of date. The platter appears at 37,000 won (Sep 2026) and 34,000 won (Jan 2026). Nobody gave a price for the beef ribs or pork skin.
  • Fourteen posts list the phone number as 02-363-1848 and three (Dec 2024 to Aug 2025) as 010-4601-4115. Three suggest booking the private room ahead, but none says they actually booked.
