Grill houseKorean

Huni-ne Jumeokgogi

후니네 주먹고기 Huni-ne means 'Huni's place' (one blogger notes the owner's given name ends in 'hun'), and jumeokgogi, 'fist meat', is pork cut into thick fist-sized chunks.

Compiled from 25 blog posts read in fullSources →

Huni-ne Jumeokgogi is a pork barbecue house at 566 Bongcheon-ro in Gwanak-gu, a few minutes' walk from exit 4 of Nakseongdae Station. The signature jumeokgogi, thick-cut pork neck, is 16,000 won for 200 g; whole pork belly is 16,000 and gabeuri-sal 17,000. You grill at the table and finish with doenjang rice stew (8,000 won) or cold kimchi noodles. Extra side dishes come from a self-serve bar. It now opens 5 pm to midnight; posts up to May 2026 also listed weekend lunch hours. We read 30 posts dated February 8 to October 24, 2026. 26 describe an actual meal, one was about a different restaurant, and three were promotional pieces with no meal in them.

Rows without a count: 4 of 14 posts.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. There is a line in the evening. Seven posts mention waiting: one arrived at 7:30 on a Monday to find four parties ahead and waited about 20 minutes, one gave up on an earlier attempt because of the line, one got in right at opening and watched a queue build outside soon after, and one saw people waiting on the way out.
  2. Booking is how people skip the line. Eleven posts mention reserving. From July 2026, posts say a Naver booking gets you a free bottle of soju or beer plus a king oyster mushroom; a late-May post says the booking perk was only the mushroom. A group of five found a reserved sign and place settings ready for them. One post advises booking ahead on Friday and Saturday evenings.
  3. Extra sides come from a self-serve bar, which twelve posts mention. People describe piling up green-onion kimchi, pickled garlic, napa cabbage and lettuce, and one liked not having to ask staff for refills.
  4. A QR code at each table lets you pick the music. Six posts mention it; one group stayed long after they were full because their songs kept coming on. Another post only guessed that requests were possible.
3 more
  1. Thirteen posts call the owner kind, and they say why: a personal fan set out for each diner on hot days and swapped for a charged one when the battery died, a hair tie brought over to someone who looked hot, a staff member cutting the mushroom at the right moment, and the owner mentioning that his mother makes the side dishes.
  2. The draw is the 200 g portion. Jumeokgogi stayed at 16,000 won for 200 g in posts from May through October 2026, and ten posts say it is not expensive; one compares it with the usual 18,000 won for 180 g. Two people were comfortably full on two portions and one doenjang stew; another pair ate ten portions and paid about 180,000 won.
  3. It is close to Nakseongdae Station: ten posts say it is an easy walk, three to five minutes from exit 4. One adds that it sits right by Inheon Elementary School, so the local village bus works too.

On parking, one post says there is no space and suggests public transport. Three others copied 'no parking, use the nearby public lot' from the listing; we didn't count those as first-hand.

Where it is

Map showing where Huni-ne Jumeokgogi is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

From the station

It is close to Nakseongdae Station: ten posts say it is an easy walk, three to five minutes from exit 4. One adds that it sits right by Inheon Elementary School, so the local village bus works too.

Getting inside

Toilet inside1 of 25 posts

No one says what floor it is on or whether there are stairs; the address just reads unit 101.

No one mentions a step at the entrance or wheelchair or stroller access. That means we don't know, not that there is none. One post came with a child but says nothing about a stroller.

The only word on restrooms is one post saying there is one inside. We don't know whether it is gender-separated or how big it is.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 28 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

2026-05-053 posts in one day

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Posts disagree on who grills. Three say the owner grilled for them: at a book-club dinner, when a father struggled with the heat, and in one case where the offer was made but declined. One post says they do not grill for you. Three to one.
  • Opening hours have changed. Four posts from April and May 2026 list weekdays 5 pm to midnight, Saturday noon to midnight and Sunday noon to 9 pm; posts from August on say 5 pm to midnight every day, last order 11:30 pm. A March post had Sunday as 5 to 9 pm. Most of these were copied from the listing, so check before going for a weekend lunch. One post says it closes early when the meat runs out.
  • Posts differ on origin labeling: one photographed the origin notice, another couldn't find it and skipped the kimchi.
  • Some say the Blue Ribbon hype oversells it. Two posts call it a regular barbecue place (one gives it 3 out of 5) while still praising how tender the meat is, and a third found the jumeokgogi unremarkable but liked the pork belly.
  • Opinions on seasoning differ: two posts found the doenjang stew salty, one found everything served with the meat very bland.
  • Three posts published on May 5, 2026 repeat the same phrases in the same order (pigs slaughtered directly from the farm, a recipe handed down from the parent restaurant, ideal for wedding-invitation dinners) and describe no actual meal, so we didn't count them as visits. Claims of top-grade domestic pork and the parent restaurant Bori-ne Jumeokgogi's two Blue Ribbon years come from the restaurant itself and aren't evidence here. Eight posts give the phone number as 0507-1494-5840.
