Yumibun Gimbap Bangbae Jigyeongjeom

유미분김밥 방배 직영점 Gimbap is the Korean seaweed-wrapped rice roll and jigyeongjeom means a company-run branch; the posts give no meaning for the brand name Yumibun.

A gimbap and Korean snack shop on the ground floor of a side street at Bangbae-ro 28-gil 7, Seocho-gu, three to five minutes' walk from Naebang Station exit 7. You order at a kiosk by the door and fetch water, pickled radish, cutlery and seaweed soup from a self-service bar. Rolls run from 5,000 won for the basic roll to 12,000 won for salmon; a one-person lunchbox of a roll plus sweet-spicy fried chicken was 12,000, 13,500 or 17,500 won depending on the roll. There is also tteokbokki, cutlets, rice bowls and draft beer. We read 30 posts dated June 10 to October 28, 2026. Three were about other shops (the brand's Guui and Dangsan branches, and a milk-tea shop in Yeoksam) and were set aside; one delivery order and one post by the brand's design agency were not visits, leaving 25 visits counted. Nearly half of those were takeout.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Ordering is by kiosk — twelve posts say they ordered at the machine by the entrance. Your number appears on a screen over the pickup counter, and one post notes trays go back to a 'RETURN' shelf by the self-service bar. Three posts advise grabbing a seat before ordering if you're eating in.
  2. Eat in and the seaweed soup is bottomless. Nine of the dine-in posts say they helped themselves at the self-service bar; one notes most snack shops serve instant broth instead, another liked it better than her mother's. Several posts say takeout customers don't get it, though one had a bowl while waiting for his order. The 'Wando seaweed simmered an hour daily' line is the shop's own copy, repeated by bloggers.
  3. A lot of the trade is takeout. Thirteen posts took their food away, and several describe a steady stream of delivery riders. Three note the big rolls — aged-kimchi tuna, salmon — come in a separate, wider box. Pre-ordering through Naver meant no wait at pickup, one post says.
  4. There is a separate waiting area — five posts mention seats or a waiting zone by the door, used by takeout customers too.
5 more
  1. Food comes fast: five posts say so, with times of 'within ten minutes' and 'usually under five'. One post waited about ten minutes for four takeout rolls.
  2. Thirteen posts call the place clean — one watched staff clear and wipe each table as soon as guests left, others mention a tidy self-service bar and a bright room of white tables and wooden chairs.
  3. Seating is mostly two- and four-tops, with a counter of window seats suited to solo diners. Ten posts describe the seating, three of them the window spots. One saw a sign reserving some tables for parties of two or more.
  4. Nine posts walked from Naebang Station: out exit 7, straight on, right at the Starbucks building — three to five minutes. Several say the orange sign and door are easy to spot.
  5. Three posts ate alone, three with friends, one with a spouse, one with family; several remark on how many solo diners there were.

The most ordered dish is miyeokguk (미역국(셀프바)) — 12 of 25 posts.

The prices here are what bloggers wrote down in their posts, and they may have changed since. Check Naver Place for the current menu and prices. This list is not a menu board — it counts what bloggers actually ordered and ate. Check on Naver Place

Parking

1 posts say you cannot park. None say you can.

Posts saying you cannot1 of 25 posts

There is no parking. One parent left the family in the car and ran in alone. Of four posts that drove, three used a nearby public lot or another building's lot and one stopped briefly out front for pickup; another warns that the street in front is enforced. The 'temporary stopping for pickup' line is copied from the shop's listing.

Where it is

Map showing where Yumibun Gimbap Bangbae Jigyeongjeom is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

From the station

Nine posts walked from Naebang Station: out exit 7, straight on, right at the Starbucks building — three to five minutes. Several say the orange sign and door are easy to spot.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 3 (of 25 posts read)

Three posts note the shop is at street level.

Nobody mentioned whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or stroller gets in. That is unknown, not a no.

No post says where the restroom is or whether it is separated by gender.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 27 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Only two posts address lines: one walked straight in around 6 p.m. on a weekday, one regular says peak hours get busy enough for people to wait. Nobody recorded how long.
  • Size is disputed: two posts from August 2026 found it roomy, one from October said it isn't large. The facade was redone in between, but we don't know whether the interior changed.
  • All opening hours are copied from the shop's listing. Twenty posts give them, mostly agreeing: Tuesday–Sunday 10:30–20:30, closed Mondays, last order 20:00, break 14:30–16:00 on weekdays and 15:00–16:30 on weekends. The lunch last order is 14:00 in one post and 14:30 in two. One post listed Sunday as the day off while describing a Sunday-evening visit, so we left it out.
  • Prices differ between store and delivery: 5,000 / 5,500 / 12,000 won in store for the basic, kimchi-anchovy and salmon rolls, against 6,000 / 6,500 / 14,000 on a delivery order. No dine-in post called it expensive; two said the prices were good value.
  • The phone number, 0507-1471-1192, appears in more than ten posts (one has a typo). Several mention pre-ordering takeout through Naver, but whether you can reserve a table is only in copied listing text — nobody did it.
  • Nearly every post repeats the same lines — second-generation, 23 years, ten million rolls sold, ten-plus signature rolls, chicken fried three times, unlimited soup for dine-in. A post about another branch of the brand labels this list a 'mission'. No post discloses sponsorship; three of the visits say they paid themselves, one says someone else paid. Seven posts about the cold-noodle special cluster in mid-August 2026 and ten more in late October. We treated these lines as the shop's own copy, not evidence.
  • Changes: an October 1, 2026 post noticed the facade had been redone, and the brand's design agency says it renovated this branch; we don't know when. The summer cold buckwheat noodles (7,500 won) were eaten in seven August posts and vanish after that. The dried-squid roll was called new in August and October, and one regular notes a spicy fish-cake roll has been dropped.
