Neokdungbegi
넉둥베기 Neokdungbegi is the Jeju-dialect word for yut, the traditional stick-throwing board game played on the island.

A breakfast-and-lunch place on Seomun-ro 9 in Yongdam 1-dong, Jeju City, near Seomun Market, serving Jeju's traditional jeopjjak-ppyeguk pork-bone soup (13,000 won), bracken yukgaejang (10,000 won) and grilled pork-belly skewers (8,000 won). It now operates only from the orange annex next to its old white-signed building. The soup comes with one bone bigger than a palm and chunks of radish; you put on the gloves left on the table, pull the meat off and wrap it in lettuce with pickled chili. Many visitors stopped here straight off a flight or just before one. We read 30 posts dated 15 February to 19 October 2026; 23 of them record an actual meal.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- The annex is where it operates now. Nine of the 23 visit posts say the main building was unused and they ate in the orange building right next door; a February 2026 post says the restaurant had moved into a new building, and a May post that the main building was no longer in use. One May post remembers lunch in the main building and dinner in the annex on an earlier trip, and notes that dinner service has since stopped. The street address is unchanged; check-ins add 'annex'.
- There is usually a line, but it moves. Twelve posts found a queue or saw one form behind them, four walked straight in, two are inconclusive. Recorded waits: 7 minutes, 5-10, 10, under 10, 10-20 and 30 — the 30 was an August visit at 10:50 a.m. holding ticket no. 73. The walk-ins came around 10 a.m. on a Thursday, noon on a weekend, 2 p.m., and just after the 9 a.m. opening. Two posts describe writing your name and party size on a whiteboard, two describe taking a numbered ticket, and five pass on the notice that you lose your turn if you are not outside when called. Three mention chairs to wait on out front. One says there is no CatchTable or Tabling remote queue.
- One main per person. Four posts note the one-dish-per-person rule, two of them specifying ages 8 and up. The most common order for two was two bowls of soup plus one plate of skewers.
- Side dishes are topped up without asking. Seven posts got refills or had empty plates replenished unprompted — two refilled the kimchi or pickled chili twice, one got extra broth to finish the rice. Seven also call the owner and staff kind. One adds that the owner is strict about manners and dislikes wasted side dishes, so you may get a little supervision.

- Children's phones are off at the table. One post saw the owner stop kids playing videos aloud and enjoyed the quiet meal; two more mention the posted rule against minors using phones while eating. The walls are covered with the owner's handwritten sayings and riddles, which many read while waiting. Six posts saw celebrity signatures or photos; two first took the handwritten notes for signatures.
- Seven posts went as a couple, three with family, one with friends and one alone; the solo diner had soup plus skewers for 21,000 won. Seven arrived by car.

Parking
2 posts say you can park; 1 say you cannot. We leave the disagreement standing rather than picking a side.

Parking accounts change over time. Nearly every post repeats that there is no dedicated lot. Two February 2026 posts parked easily in a temporary lot behind the shop toward Top Mart; a May post used the public lot across the alley. Three posts from late September and October found the vacant lot beside the shop under construction, and people parked near the site or in side streets. Several suggest the Yongdam 1-dong community centre or nearby public lots.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
Getting inside
| Toilet inside | 1 of 23 posts |
|---|
No visitor described the floor level. The '1st floor' in the address is the registered listing; we do not know whether the annex entrance has steps — nobody wrote about it.
Step-free access is unknown: no visitor mentions a threshold or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. One post copies a notice at the door restricting strollers. One says there are no high chairs; staff strapped a baby belt to a regular chair.
Only one post says the toilet is inside, toward the back. Nobody mentions whether it is separated by sex or how big it is.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 27 posts we gathered, 4 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Opinions on size split: two posts call it roomy, two call it small, one is undecided. One counts about ten four-person tables; three mention separate single seats.
- One October 2026 post found the skewered pork smelled; two found no off-smell at all. The same October post found the bracken yukgaejang too thick and saw other tables leaving it.
- No post arrived by bus; one came by taxi and seven by car. Many repeat that it is ten minutes' drive from the airport, but nobody describes walking from a stop, so we cannot say.
- All opening hours are copied from listings. From May 2026, 13 posts give Tuesday-Wednesday closures, 12 of them 09:00-15:30 and six a 15:00 last order. February-March posts gave 09:00-16:00, 09:00-15:00 (last order 14:00 or 14:40) and 09:00-14:00, so we do not treat those as current. One October post notes the sign at the door said 6 p.m., contradicting the listings. Several mention early closing when ingredients run out; one says there were many extra closed days in February.
- Prices held steady from late-2025 visits to October 2026: 13,000 won for the bone soup, 10,000 for yukgaejang, 8,000 for skewers. Four posts say it is not expensive. Its listing as a Jeju 'good-price business' comes from an official list and a promotional post, not from diners.
- Ten posts list the phone number 064-743-2585. One copies a note that reservations are not taken, and every visitor queued on site.
