Yongdam Batdam
용담밭담 Yongdam is the Jeju City neighbourhood the house stands in, and batdam are the black basalt walls that ring Jeju's fields; two posts noted the stone used on the building's walls.

A large Korean set-meal restaurant at 16 Seocheon-gil in Yongdam, a few minutes from Jeju airport. Pot rice, a whole soy-marinated crab, soup and side dishes come with every table, and you choose a main: the black-pork duruchigi and tilefish set (25,000 won a head in September 2026 posts) or braised hairtail (88,000 won for the large in October 2026). Tour groups and package travellers make up much of the trade. We read 14 posts dated 28 July 2025 to 17 October 2026; eight record an actual meal. One was about the Hamdeok branch and was dropped, and three templated sponsored-style posts were left out of the counts.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Three of the eight visits were group trips: a 26-person tour party, a company outing and a training retreat. The two that booked as a group found the table already laid when they arrived. One of them noted the flip side: the room gets loud with group parties.
- Three posts say you can get more side dishes: two mention a self-serve side-dish bar, and one says refills came straight away when asked.
- The duruchigi is not finished in the kitchen: two writers describe lighting a burner at the table and stir-frying it themselves.
- One post describes going with children, a seven-year-old and his primary-school cousins, who ate pot rice topped with picked tilefish and hairtail. Nobody mentioned high chairs or a play area.

4 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Four of the eight visitors wrote that the car park is big. One saw several tour buses parked and still got a rental car in without trouble; another described a very large lot right in front. Nobody complained about parking.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
Getting inside
No post says which floor the dining room is on or whether there are stairs; the '1st floor' in the address is just the registered address.
Nobody mentioned a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or pushchair. We simply don't know.
No post says where the toilets are or whether they are separated by sex.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 13 posts we gathered, 5 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Opinions on the food split. One package-tour visitor found the side dishes dry, the crab bitter, the mackerel salty and dry, and the braised hairtail too hot; another writer called the crab and mackerel not salty at all. A third, on a training trip, found the fried fish hard to eat.
- Three posts were stamped from one template, with a half-deleted review-count widget, the same hours, phone and '25,000 won per person' block, and identical subheadings. We did not count them as visits. Figures like 300 or 310 seats, a 1,000-pyeong car park and Dangjin rice are the restaurant's own lines, copied over, and we do not rely on them.
- All the opening hours we have are copied blocks. Five 2026 posts give 11:00-20:00, four of them with a 15:00-17:00 break; three put last orders at 19:00 and one at 17:00. A single August 2025 post says daily 10:00-22:00 with last orders at 21:00. We can't tell whether the hours changed or the figure was miscopied.
- Only two prices appear: 25,000 won a head for the duruchigi-and-tilefish set and 88,000 won for the large braised hairtail. Nobody priced the other sets or the mackerel, and one writer whose company paid didn't know the bill.
- The phone number 0507-1317-7856 appears only in copied blocks. No one says they phoned to book; the two posts that mention booking were both group bookings.
- No one wrote about queueing. One visitor found the place already full but didn't say whether they waited. That means nobody recorded it, not that there is never a wait.
- No one arrived by bus or on foot; every visitor came by rental car or tour coach, and the posts only repeat that the airport is close. We don't know how practical public transport is.
