Pungcheon Manga
풍천만가 Pungcheon is the name Koreans give to eel raised where a river meets the sea, and the house sells 'Pungcheon eel'; the posts do not explain the 'manga' part of the name.

Pungcheon Manga is a charcoal-grilled freshwater eel house on Ayeon-ro 40 in Yeon-dong, Jeju City, up the road from the KCTV building. Grilled eel is 39,000 won a portion with a two-portion minimum; staff grill and cut it for you, and an eel soup comes with it. Marinated beef ribs, pork and prawns are on the menu for anyone who skips eel. Of the sixteen posts that said who they came with, thirteen were family gatherings. We read 24 posts from February 2025 to September 2026; 21 of them describe an actual visit.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Staff grill the eel. Fourteen posts say staff cooked it from start to finish. Meat is a different story: two posts note that staff grill only the eel, and you cook the ribs and prawns yourself. One post says the eel goes straight onto the charcoal without being par-grilled in the kitchen.
- There are private rooms toward the back. Nine posts mention a room or separate seating area, and five booked ahead. One post says rooms are available if you reserve; another booked one to meet future in-laws. Posts describe four-seat tables in the main hall and round tables seating six inside.
- The eel's thickness comes up again and again: eight posts call it big and thick, and in one a staff member chimed in that their eels are large. Four posts say there was no fishy smell.
- Six posts describe visiting with children. Three used a high chair; one seated the baby by the wall away from the grill, and another said there was plenty of room to bring a stroller in.
1 more
- It is not cheap. Three posts call it on the pricey side, one saying that is why they were unsure about returning. Five posts from July 2025 to June 2026 all give the same 39,000 won per portion of eel.

There is a large private lot in front. Nine posts mention parking there and eight say it is spacious, one likening it to a courtyard and another saying even a beginner driver would manage. One post found only a few cars there around opening time.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
Getting inside
| Step-free access | 1 of 20 posts |
|---|
No post describes which floor the dining room is on or whether there are stairs; the '1st floor' in the address is copied, not observed.
We don't know whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair can get in. One post says there was room inside for a stroller, but no one describes the entrance. That means no one wrote about it, not that there is no step.
No post describes the restrooms from experience. One post's copied info block says they are separated by gender; we did not count it.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 22 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- No post arrived by bus or on foot; directions are all for drivers, and parking dominates the posts. We don't know how easy it is by public transport.
- Only one post mentions waiting: they arrived at the 11 am opening and were the first customers. No one says whether evenings or weekends involve a wait. Five posts booked ahead.
- Seven posts list hours of 11:00 to 22:00, mostly in copied info blocks. One post says it opens at 10:00; another, which arrived at the 11 am opening and was first in, supports 11. One post says it is open every day of the year; none mention a break time or last order.
- Lunch-set prices disagree: a menu widget pasted into a June 2025 post lists the eel set at 23,000 won, while a January 2026 post says the lunch special is 29,000 won until 3 pm. We could not tell whether the price rose or these are different items. Other prices from that widget also date from around June 2025.
